Can I be notified when a specific thread has a new post?

When I first came to this site the threads that I was watching used to pop up on top of the forums list. I could then see what new posts were there. It doesn't do that any more? How come? Can I make it do that again? I will be watching this thread.

You are probably on the wrong page. The threads only pop up on the front page. Click on the DG logo to go to the homepage.

WHERE is my member page?? I set my preferences for it, but can't find it. I want to see if / when my posts are rep;lied to (does that work when you post a reply WITHIN a thread??)
My homepage only shows what forums I'm "watching". . .
