thanks. half full and time is running out, I've got to select the rest of what makes the cut now. I will still have room for starting lots of brug cuttings in there, I'm really shocked at how much I've gotten in there and still have room to walk.
finally got one!
send us a photo.
Yeah we need photos :)
Well, tonight will be our first freeze (30-32 degrees). Are you up and running tiG? Let's see that thing packed to the gills! :)
Good Grief! Can you walk in there? Looks great!
(and are you as tied as I am?)
I left paths on both sides of those down the middle (this really only shows half) and yes, I'm exhausted!!!!! (but not tied) hehe
now to watch the heater all night and figure the best setting for this temp.
tiG, you have a veritable forest in there. Hope your have figured out your heat thing. I don't remember did you say you had installed an exhaust fan and louvers. Looks good. Donna
oh my, monika I think was right, you an't got room to fall LOL I love seeing all those stocks and knowiong beautiful flowers will come out of them next year! you grow them so well! :)
Looks wonderful Bonnie. Love the height. What is the tallest point?
Tig that's a GREAT GH..lucky you. Ours is a hoop house but we are real pleased with it.
How did U get the brugs in without them pouting (wilting). I Moved a couple that are in pots in ours.. one I had to cut the root & it sure didn't like it. Still not sure it will make it. I have more I'd like to move but afraid they will die & there is a chance they will come back next year if I leave them out. So far they have all come back but only had a couple till now. I have some in smaller pots than they are & worried about those.
angie, it's about 11.5 in the center.
Sugar, for those that had roots that had grown into the ground (say one gallon pots), I didn't cut the roots back, I put them in a bit larger pot with some soil around the roots. I did cut some back to the pot, they aren't wilting yet, but make sure you don't water just because they are wilting. they will recover.
Tig how to I repot without cutting the roots? The roots go everywhere. I think I'll pile pinestraw around them & HOPE for the best. The problem is they do need repotting. Think maybe next spring I can cut the pots off & somehow put them in the ground?
I didn't take the pot off. I just plopped it down into the next size pot with a bit of dirt around the roots, not totally full. I did have some I put in the gh and put dirt around the roots with no pot, I have a dirt floor. I'm going to have to cut off some pots come spring too. :)
Tig my 1st brug has been through 2 winters. It is in a 5 gallon pot & this spring had gone through to the ground. I just let it be & think I'll do the same this winter & spring. I would sure hate to lose it.
My 2 peaches & cream I was able to move with no ill efects. They need repotting ..would it be best to do that now or wait till spring? The bugs sure gave them a fit this summer.
We are in a rush trying to get ready to go to VA next Monday for a week.
wait until spring, you don't want to risk rootrot. will be praying for your trip!
Thanks tiG {{HUG}}
