Dwarf Variegated Morning Glory

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Several years ago I ordered some dwarf variegated morning glory seeds from Park's Seeds. They were beautiful planted in pots. The leaves were green and white variegated, and the blooms were either pale pink with white edge, pale blue with white edge, pale lavender with white edge or purple with white edge. I saved the seeds from year to year, until one year my daughter in helping me clean threw them away. I've never been able to find any like that again. Does anyone know the name of that variety, or where they might be purchased?

Hi minigrannie,

I have seeds for a dwarf Japanese picotee morning glory mix purchased from Stoke's seeds in NY. I've attached a picture below. Let me know if it is close to what you are looking for - I'd be happy to share.

Hi Minigrannie,
is it possibly these "sun smile" ones at this link?

or the "cameo elegance" at one of these?

(you have to use the pull down menu on this one to pick IPOMOEA)

I don't know where you can buy them if they are what you had, but at least you would have a name.

edited to say, have you ruled out convolvulus?

Pinkangel and PudgyMudpies, thanks to both of you for your help. They were just like yours Pinkangel, except they were pastel colors, pale pink, pale blue, pale lavender with white edges. I love yours also and would love some seeds, if you could spare a few. I can send you a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Hi Minigrannie,

I was just checking out some post here since I am new here and I thought maybe I know which ones you are talking about. I ordered them this past spring from Park's, could they be the "minibar rose" MG's. The leaves were just beautiful with all the varigation and the blloms were a pastel rose color. Just thought maybe I could help.

Thanks, Dot. The ones that I'm looking for were dwarf, only about 12" to 18". They had the variegated leaves like the minibar rose, but the blooms were all very pastel. It was a mixed package with pale pink, pale blue and pale lavender all edged in white. In fact, they looked like the Sunsmiles, except the colors were pastel. Park Seeds is where I purchased them, but they haven't had them in several years.
