New Name Needed!

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Y'all might be tired of seeing this, but it sure was a hit at our GARU. I've been calling it my Drive by Brug, since that's how I found it 3-4 years ago, and didn't know I really could give it a name. Anyhow, I do think it deserves a pretty name, what do you think?

Pinwheel

Gosh, it is too late tonight for me to even think. It deserves a great name.

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm not tired of seeing it. It's really cool.
I'm no good with names, but I will think about it.
Kris

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Beautiful Vi, pick a pretty name for it.

Peachtree City, GA(Zone 8a)

How about:
Snowflake (Flocon de neige)
White Cotton (Coton Blanc)
White Parasol
White Christmas
Downey
White Peal

I tried. LOL!
Cindy

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I think it needs a name like 'Southern Charm'. I like it!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i really like this, glad i got to see blooms in person.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Thanks everyone! Ok Ludger, this was your idea, where are you?
Boy it sure is easier to name someone else's brug!

I was thinking something like flirt or vivacious or dancer, to try and catch the movement, and show uniqueness.

Main Entry: vi·va·cious
Etymology: Latin vivac-, vivax, literally, long-lived, from vivere to live
Date: circa 1645
: lively in temper, conduct, or spirit : SPRIGHTLY

This isn't easy, I don't want a mouthful!

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

Vi, I vote for "VI"vacious - - that way we would think of you!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I love it!!!!!!!!!!! it has to be vi, that is just perfect!

Social Circle, GA(Zone 8a)

Gorgwous brug! That is too perfect, Vivacious! You know, you could name all of yours beginning Vivacious or Vi.

Vi's southern dancer
Vi's snowflake
Vi's Pearl (you found/created one)
Vi's Pinwheel

or
Vivacious dancer
Vivacious star

Reminds me of this painting called the naming of the flowers where a little girl is getting help from fairies see a print: http://www.animationartwork.com/artwork/sku4717 Do you have any fairies you could talk to? LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I like the names starting with Vi also. Can't wait to be able to tag mine with its new name.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

I like the "Vi" series.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

The polls are still open! Would really like those of you who have a piece of her to help(; Kris, Ludger...y'all know who you are.

Sorry, but this is my one shot--I'm not one with the steady hands of a pollinator, lol!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

How wonderful! One of Tonny's babies has a segmented corolla like this too. I love the look. How bout "Viva"

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

I like VIvacious, but I'm not sure I can say it, LOL.
I think if you are using it you need another word after it. Like VIvacious Flirt or VIvacious Dancer.

I was thinking about the name some today, but didn't really come up with anything, except I thought it could have wings in the name. The flower kind of looks like it has five wings.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

You must have been reading my mind! I was thinking of wings, earlier, or a dove or....

Ludger, where's your input please?

Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Those wonderful blooms have a stonge feeing of purity around them and would be very stunning as a bridal bouquet or in an Easter arrangement.

I can't think of a word at the moment that doesn't sound trite but there has to be one to attach to "VI."

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Poppysue, watch your babies, supposed to have a new illness.
A killing illness.

Vi, I would like: Shredded Viola.
You are such a great person, like to see your name with this brug:-)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Vivacious is such a great name, you should save it for your first baby. Snowflake seems to really fit its looks. I wonder what makes the petals be so deeply lobed. This is the 3rd white I have seen like this in the last 2 weeks. I wonder if there are any colored ones also. I sure like its looks. Maybe you could hybridize it in yellow or pink Vi. That would be really special.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks for your warning, Ludger :o)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ludger, we cannot shred Viola! lol....

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I like "Snowflake" gives you an instant visual of the shape.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Vi's Graceful Dove......naaa not a good one.
I am clueless here but I do think your name should be part of it. Leaving it as just snowflake or snow white dove...just doesn't give you enough credit.

Will be thinking more on this.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Molly, she might be saving 'vi' names for when she starts her own crosses. I like Snowflake too, it does paint a picture.

Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Vi's Virgin Bride?

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

How about Viola Cream?

Social Circle, GA(Zone 8a)

Vi's roadside
or Vi's roadside find
Vi's find
Viola cream, I like that too. I like a lot of them. Now you have a cache of names for the next generation!
?????
:D :D :D

Those are all great names. O.K. Vi pick one. She is a rare treasure.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

He Donna, how about Vi's Rare Treasure?

That is supposed to say "Hey Donna". I'll never be able to get one post just right.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Yes, thatīs!!!

I LOVE: Viīs Rare Treasure.

Really perfect name.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Wow my comment on the beauty of her will be a great name. lol. Didn't think about it at the time I said it. How about it Vi.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

how about Vi's white whirly bird

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

VI?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Where is Vi?

I was thinking.... 'Flying Nun'. It sorta reminds me of the cornette she wears. Or maybe 'Vi's Cornette'?

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Sorry, I'm back home. Lord, more neat names.
Also had an emails for "Star of Violabird", "Vi's Star", "Wings of Vi"... and several others...thanks for too many suggestions, lol (~;

Do ya'll know it took me 2 weeks to name my poor puppy?

Geesh, I know I'm a pain here, but could we vote some more?
