Donna I'll eMail you directly.
Antoinette I'll look at my mail folder and I'll let you know what was it.
Lovely that you've got the seeds!
Lapageria rosea , Chilean Bell Flower vine
Cristina, I received your seeds in fine shape. Should I plant them in a little pot & put them in my refrigerator or out in the greenhouse (with daytime temps of 60-80 degrees F and night temps of 60 degrees F. I saw you said they require a long term stratification. What temperature (F) and how long? Thanks so much. Buttoneer
Buttoneer, I live in the region where Lapagerias feel at home and the winter temperatures are: the minimum from 34F to 37F, in the night and 52F to 55F in daytime. We use centigrade but I did convert it into Fahrenheit readings.
And we have plenty rain, no snow; wheat growing region.
Should be better to use a cool greenhouse and keep it moist.
In the fridge they wouldn't have air circulation that they need.
Very similar to here, Cristina, but we do average a wee bit colder.
Lenjo that is interesting. Thanks for the info.
All this interchange of seeds is so wonderful. Just knowing which place in the USA has near the same weather condition, at least in winter. is educational.
Cristina, do you have more seeds? I would love to give them a try. I have hostas seeds. What else would you like? If I don't have it I may be able to find it.
lhughes yes, I still have some seeds
I'm looking for carnivorous seeds. I'll review my wish list.
I have enough canna and Hosta seeds for now.
