Mountain Magic

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Gee kell, I just know how much you love pink, (understatement of the year) and it was such a beautiful dark shade!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

yeah, but Kell can take any pink and turn it into frosty pink.......LOL

Kell,you know I'm just teasin......

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I can do even better than that. I can take Frosty Pink and turn it into old faithful gold, and I don't mean 14K. lol

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Snow,What a brug.I had not seen this one until Tig mentioned it at the Ga swap.Keep doing whatever it is that you are doing.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

But Sylvia, every yard needs more than one color of brugs, so a few yellows and golds should be in everyone's yard. I have fallen in love with my Charles Grimaldi. Never saw one in person until mine bloomed. I love it. Of course, I feel the same about my pinks, peaches, etc. A brug in bloom has beauty in it now matter what. By the way, everyone knows I'm not fond of whites, but I sure have seen a couple of beauties this summer and I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep one of my seedlings and get one from someone else. Hooked again!!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm beginning to understanding what you mean, Shirley. I've had the gold one for 3 yrs., but it has never bloomed as heavily as it is blooming right now. I've decided it is really pretty, and I guess all pink would be rather boring anyway. lol

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Pretty and I do like the dark pink . . expecially when the pink goes all the way up the corolla like that one does. You were so lucky to get that seed tig since all the seeds are different in a pod. How many of the other seeds were grown out and what color and shape did they turn out to be? Even if there is only a few pretty ones from a pod it certainly makes it all worthwhile.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

BrugNanny, I gave 90% of my seeds last year to the BGI bank and some friends. So far I have only heard back from Shirley, tiG and Poppysue on any results of the many crosses that were given out so I have no idea what came from all the rest.
Hopefully they have added beauty to someone's garden. That would make it worthwhile.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

I got to see one flower, wish i had gotten to see the tree. it is a beautiful deep color.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Wow that is a real beauty. I love the pic with all the blooms. Simply stunning.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

When you come up for the spring swap, and stay with me or tiG, you can see it then in her GH!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I have another one of these blooming, it's pink, big and beautifully shaped. Holding it til spring/summer for real color, it was light as most fall flowers are. It only had one flower first bloom.

tig that is a sis????

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yes, that last picture is the sis. Much taller and the flowers are a bit bigger. wish it had bloomed in summer, but will be an alley tree next year.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

great shape, and i bet the summer color will be super great....

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I love the "whiskers" on it too.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Forgive the small sidetrack here, but do some types have different numbers of splits in the calyx when they bloom??
Thank You,
shirley

Just saw this thread. I saw Mountain Magic in person, Wow! I can't blame Ludger for going back to it. I think this will be on the most wanted list.

Another beauty! Such a whopping big bloom. U.S. is making a comeback with these new brugs, almost catching up with Europe.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

I was so sad because there still not have been a cutting for a midnightplundering:-)

I am patient...one day it will bloom in my yard next to Rothkirch and LÁmour. It is a must have brug,no matter the bucks.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Can you believe us? We want your brugs, you want ours'.
Someday we will all share.
