It's raining....

It's raining, it's pouring, the old girl is boring.
It is such a dreary dark day here and I am so sick of rain.
I just can't seem to get motivated to do anything, not even my art work....OH PLEASE SEND ME SOME SUNSHINE!!!

I ran out into the CA sun ( It is about 78 but wil be warmer soon) And snaped a couple of shots. Not great quality but the sun is shining. Here is a cosmos.

Mexican sage. The hummer was cussing me from his perch. He as grazing but would not stay to get is picture taken.

Evolvulus, blue daze. It is the true sun lover. Cooks in the corner of my patio all year long.

And the happy bee wallowing in the sea of blue. I hope the little bit of sun brightenes your day just a little. Frogs

Gee, how depressing is that??? LOL Look at all those nice plants blooming in the sun! I'm with ya kit, dreary sky, windy, trees getting naked, rain coming down, chill in the air. sniff sniff. Hey, go paint a pretty fall scene or something! ;)

If all else fails there is always COCOA!!

And pretend it is winter??? Ain't no way! LOL

I really love thunbergia and didn't plant any this year but will have them in next years garden.
I do appreciate your sending me some sunshine along with your lovely flowers, I have to admit that I am a little green with envy.
Just send all your sunshine to Ohio for Badseed and I to enjoy, I am sure we both will be happy to trade you some rain for it lol.

You can send your rain my way. I would love to have it, dreariness and all. For the past month we have been watering this acre of new baby grass and I'd love Mother Nature to take over for a bit. Moving the sprinklers every half-hour the whole time you are home gets old real fast.

It been dry here, so we will take the rain; the rain that is presently falling. I intended on watering with the hose tomorrow (now, no laughing) just to keep the 1st year transplants growing. I am all mixed up. Watering in October. Waiting for a frost. Waiting for the leaves to fall. The goofy season, for sure.

It has been cold and rainy all day here. Also , we had a lot of wind . The wind blew my big heavy pot of night blooming cereus to the ground , busted the pot and broke off all the buds except for one, which might open this evening or tomorrow evening. It started with 32 buds, and now I'll only get two(one bloomed night before last)blooms . WAHHHH!!! I'm not ready for this blasted weather! I want my Indian summer! Lou

golddog, it absolutely poured in the northern part of our county about 5:00...just poured. I'll be down the street looking for my plants that were on the patio. **sigh**

Hi SLEDDER, we missed the big stuff. I hear Cranberry got hit hard. Sorry to hear the storms hit you as they did.

I sure wish you guys would stop talking about your rain. We haven't had any rain in a long time now and when we did get some it didn't amount to enough to keep a blade of grass alive for two days. sigh I wish I could afford a SASE for a couple of inches of rain.

If anyone sees some plants flying by they're probably mine. The back of my greenhouse blew out during yesterday/last night's storms. So I'll spend this evening going searching the neighborhood for our things/plants/garbage can/etc.

Golddog, they're suspecting a tornado in Cranberry. I'm not that bad at all but they're in pretty bad shape.

Ponditis; wish you would have said something, could have sent you some rain in a quart jar a week or so ago. We had gotten over 5inches on the 5th and another 1 1/2 2 days later. Would have been glad to share some with you.

Yes, it is raining in here too, but it's raining snow. We got our first snow today. There is not much of it. Actually not at all, it melts when it touchs ground.

Snow!!!! I hope you have all those cacti bundled up in little sweaters. LOL Going by my sons favorite cactus nursery today and will check what they have for seeds. Wish I could send you the plants from CA but they have lots of rules about such things. Maybe it I make it to the Arizona round up......

Yes, I know the laws kinda. But they are not a problem..You know. We trade seeds internationally all the time. With out having problems. Yeah, seeds are easy to send. But whole plants are problem..You know. And cuttings and plants might not survive because of the cold weather...
What comes to cactus collection, I have decided to not buy any ready plants, they must be seeds or cuttings or roots, not ready plants...

Dispatcher1 we also had the high wind, I went out to get the trash cans to put them back in the yard and the wind almost blew me away. It's hard to take when your name is Wind and then the wind turns on ya lol.
The sun is shinning today but the wind is blowing me all over the garden.

Hey Wind! Thanks! It's working. We are getting sprinkles on and off today. Nothing to brag about yet, but it's moisture.

I don't care as long as my roof does not leak, and my Chihuahua will occasionally venture out between the drops of rain and add those of her own.

I just sit down and mess with my computer, and you would be surprised how fast the time flies. If I get done with DG, I check my email, and then I play Hearts and Free Cell.

Then it's time for lunch, and then I can repeat the whole routine.

Now if you are traveling to work, that is another story which I am sure will be continued.

I'm with you...rain, rain, GO AWAY! I still have a couple of bulbs to dig up and this rain is making it hard.
I dug up all my dwarf cannas yesterday and believe my kitchen floor is so filled with mud you could toss seeds on it and they would grow.

WIND - I gave up planting bulbs that have to be dug up long ago. I just plant daffodils and let them grow. Let other bulbs go by the board, and paint yourself a pretty gourd.

Lol, I usually don't have bulbs that I have to dig up but this year a few friends gave me some plants that I couldn't resist, I just had to have them...I am so greedy lol

I didn't want to dig either. But I was given Cannas and 2 voodoo lilies. So they will look good next season.

I had to dig the same bulbs and I have a Voodoo Lily that I can't remember where it's at the marker was washed away, I just hope it makes it through the winter.
