Propagating Aloysia Virgata

I have a beautiful Aloysia Virgata (Incense Bush or Sweet Almond Bush) that is in constant bloom; the scent is awesome and the bees and ladybugs love it! I want to make sure I always have it, so I need to propagate it. Now I tried unsuccessfully the hardwood cutting method w/ rooting compound last year. Willing to try again tho. Problem is, on my plant, EVERY growing tip has flowers on it. It's not too common a plant, probably only people in SW US have seen it, but I'll take suggestions here.

you should take softwood to semi ripe cuttings in the spring or by mid summer. these should be rooted in a cold frame.

That's what I figured, but has anyone had success with this plant? Does anyone besides me even grow this plant?

Mark, in my zone, one doesn't need a cold frame. Average low winter temp is about 7 C. I'll just pot them up now and see what happens.

but a cold frame isnt just a cold frame somewhere cold. It could be somewhere out of direct sunlight
