I have a Contorted Filbert (Hazelnut) that is looking very bad this year. It is about 20 years old and stands about 8 ft high. This year it has only about 1/3 of the leaves it normally has and one side has no leaves at all. I was thinking of giving it a root injection of fertilizer or possibly giving it a restoration prunning. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with a Contorted Filbert?
