The photo on the picture of this one showed dark purple with stripes, but mine is more blue. Does anyone else have any for comparison. This is my first from this type.

I wonder why you are experiencing that "tearing"???? I've never seen it in any of the JMGs for sale at the flower shops around here....

I wonder - with my cacti, an overabundance of water after a prolonged dry period sometimes causes splitting. Do you think there's any correspondence? Or are you just having a lot of windy days???
