Finally, one of my own...

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hats off to Shirley and Renee, they are both gorgeous.
Looks like those seeds that did grow, outdid themselves, Happy for both of you.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sure would like to have the bloom shape of FM with the color from Renee's bloom.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Just lovely, Shirley!
I am happy for you (o:
You did good!

Mukwonago, WI(Zone 5a)

S. I can/will do the Butterfly thing as soon as the next fresh one is ready. As far as a cutting....Girl...you can have as many as I can get off the thing! Have to admit that there is something in this cross that seems to give the plant (and flowers) immunity from heat and humidity. Also...I doesn't seem to be much of a bug attracter either.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Long time no see Renee! Hope you are doing great now! Love your brug, I was trying to come up with another Morr name being that they are sisters. Morr is Better! LOL Are there more bruglings out there from this specific cross? So far so great!

Hey all, I am now in NJ! Safe and sound! Took me an hour to hook up this computer, all 3 lines. LOL!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

At least you still have a puter Kell. Glad you got there safely. How is your mom doing?

There are two more here to bloom. I just hope they will do it before frost. Otherwise, I have to take cuttings and wait until next year.

Talk to you later........time to get a few winks so I can get up in the AM and do something I haven't done for a couple of hours......WATER!!!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Isn't it great that we can take DG wherever we go!!!

The blooms are very special. I wonder if all the seedlings from that cross will be so beautiful.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Rothkirch was one of the original parents(a generation or two ago)..it comes from Columbia..where its always tropical with heat and humidity..thats where the heat resistance came from.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

rubytuesday is a wonderful name for that brug you know? looks almost like a glowing red on my screen--brugie yours is to die for too. good job!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

They better bloom before frost Brugie! I would go nuts waiting till next year!!! You need to dig them up and convert your living room to a grow room!!!

Mukwonago, WI(Zone 5a)

Thanks, Kyle...I was just hoping you'd see that post. You are my 'answer' man !!! Also...I'm posting a pic of a Maya cutting that looks as it will need a lot of help to survive. Please take a look-OK?
Thanks.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, I am ready to move to a cooler place for sure, but I do not want to get cold this winter - I want it all!!! ForeverMorr is perfect and so clever too.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Shirley and Renee, beautiful brugs. WOW WOW WOW!!! And love the name ForeverMorr. Just great. Donna

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks so much. Guess I better get out there and give them all a drink.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Bugie, if you called it ForEverMorr, it's initiallys will be FEM....lol

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Brugie... I feel sorry for you having to water so much. I think I would have given up by now. You sure take good care of your babies!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Was a little upset tonight Sue. The second bud on this brug was getting really fat and I couldn't figure out why the calyx hadn't split until I walked around to the west side of the plant and it had fried onto the corolla. I had to tear it to let the flower out and it was fried and crooked, so I took the pollen and used it and pollinated the stigma of FM. It is so hot, it probably won't take, but had to do something. Can't waste a good stigma and pollen. LOL!!

I must have been tired. That should have said pollinated the stigma of TS.

Brugie, the good fairy told me I hear you are about to get a break from the heat.lol

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh what a shame Brugie, though I am a little confused. The second bud on ForeverMorr was fried and you took the anthers and pollinated FM??? Which is that one?

With your heat, you are lucky you are not fried!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

No Kell, I took the anthers from ForeverMorr (FM) and pollinated another brug. I think I was tied when I typed that. I did edit the above post. FM has more small buds. This morning I went outside to water and when I got to that area of the yard, I saw FM and Species on the ground. We must have had some high wind during the night and they both went over. Can't believe they toughed out 50-60 mph winds earlier and never had a problem. Anyway, they had been there long enough that they were starting to grow toward the light. Both are okay, just look funny right now. The temps might not get as hot today, but the humidity is horrible. We will be find in another day or two.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Pollinate Species Brugie.........as fast and as often as you can with FM!!! Won't that give you a chance at a double pink???? a dark double pink???? YUM YUM

Your heart must have collapsed at the sight of your beloved brug on the ground. I would have died right there!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I've had about ten of them blown over today, even tho the pots were staked. We got a little over two tenths of an inch of moisture, but the winds were horrible. Nothing broke, but one nearly was pulled out of its pot. Now it is hot and sunny again with no rain forecast for the next week.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

so the heat wave continues.....poor you!!!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Brugie is famous. Her ForeverMorr is on BGI, along with all the other gorgeous brugs. Yippee!

Orange Park, FL(Zone 8b)

Such a beautiful pink color and the name seems to be a perfect choice!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, we are getting used to it now. I'm probably going to have carpel tunnel syndrome from holding the water hose though. LOL!! Thanks everyone. You have been so kind sending such nice posts about this flower.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Boy Brugie, 105 of them!!!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

106 Kell, a pretty special brug.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Shirley, very nice. Beautiful.

Mukwonago, WI(Zone 5a)

Brugie....Started the Air layering yesterday on one of the R x Butterfly branches. The second bud was just about opened early this morning. Will hit it w/ some Butterfly pollen tonight... There are an additional 8 buds on this one branch and I'll hit them too as soon as they open enough to let me get inside 'em. Keeping my fingers crossed that at least one pod forms during all of heat. Too bad it is so warm right now. Did I say warm? MAN...it is so darn hot here I think I could go out and fry an egg on the blacktopped driveway...LOL

Mukwonago, WI(Zone 5a)

S. : Sounds good on this end...will chat later !

Kell....some day you must ask Brugie how all of this 'insanity' began..? (grin)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Shirley, how is Forevermorr doing this spring. You know this one is a favorite of mine. I love the color and its appearance. Its name is quite special also.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)
