Nana blooming.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'd love to have it again next year. I kinda liked the later Roundup too because my yard looked so much better, but earlier is better for swapping and not worrying about having to keep things watered. Thought I was the only person who lost tags. Your Lobsters still have their tags, but I'm thinking about going out and putting another one in just to be safe.

Gosh Bob, So sorry! If you got two I'm sure I sent red and purple... I still owe CC a red but if she is going to keep doing the chicken dance for em .. I do not know! That is one polka you can find me outside haveing a smoke! LOL
I wanted to come to Brugies last spring so bad but was tapped out on plants from the Fl one next year will do twice as many starts!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

hey John, are the ornatas edible??

tiG, Nope .. but as a cut flower they will last for a couple of weeks .You got in on the red one just in time for the GA. swap I'm down to just 3 plants in the main clump!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

John,I'll join you for a smoke when CC starts dancing!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

never thought of cutting it, would the momma still die if I do? what would go good in a vase with it, nothing?

tiG, Only cut down as far as you need ..The Mom will die anyway but a couple of fronds and the bloom will not set her pups back... I just tossed this one in a vase for you to see! : )

I consider me chasing the chickens around the yard as my "Chicken Dance",like I have been doing today.

I'm catching them with a net, washing them and putting them in cages out in the sun to dry
They have to be at the State fair on Wendsday.......

and the nanas wave to me as I run by........

Chele, u can make eggrolls out of the saba banana fruit. slice the banana in half. place half on eggroll wrapper. sprinkle 1 tsp. brown sugar, 1 tsp. butter. roll the wrapper as u would like an eggroll. be sure to wrap tight. then deep fry. u got urself a banana eggroll! am sure ur girls would love them. all my nephews and nieces love them. the uncooked wrap banana can be frozen till u are ready to fry them too just in case u got left over which i doubt very much LOL!
