Okay, this one looks like some sort of a beetle. Found it (dead TC, don't worry lol) floating in my pool. Any clues? I tried searching for both beige and tan beetle, spotted, beetle with spots, etc. I give up.
CLOSED: Bug of the day.
It is a grapevine beetle http://audubon.wku.edu/daviess/grapevine_beetle.htm
Boy! You are so quick and so good! Lucky for me I have no grape vines other than the wild ones. LOL
I had one of these on my grape vine once. They're huge!
Oddly enough the description says it is one inch long and it really is! LOL OH, by the way it is half an inch wide. ;)
I haven't seen one of those in ages. They were common where I grew up. They were so big that my brother and I would tie a thread around them and use them for toy helicopters.
