cant find cats whiskers seed

I'm having a hard time finding orthosiphon stamenus (sp?) aka cats whiskers. here in Ga. a lot of folks call cleome cats whiskers but i know it as spider flower. If i cant find a commercial source, I'm willing to pay for these if anyone has them. thanks for any help and may GOD bless you and your garden!!

I didn' find them there. Does anyone have any? I am willing to pay for them b/c I don't have anything to trade and I am DESPERATE for these!!!!

Berrygirl are you talking about the Batflower? I know sometimes it is called CatWiskers????

WillowWasp, no I think the cats whiskers I'm looking for is orthosiphon stamineus and the batflower is tacca integrifolia or chantrieri.

Yes, your right and what I have is tacca integrifolia, so sorry I couldn't be or any help to you....Just wasn't sure of what you were asking for... :o)

I think this place will have them (plants) in the spring. I've purchased them in the past. Right now the site won't accept orders for anything but bay and Rosemary unless it is a glitch I've run into. I know when I bought these plants, there was a minimum order, but they were only about $3 each. That was the price a couple of years ago.

Don't know if this is appropriate to share but on GW there is someone offering to trade these seeds for any easy to grow flower...it is under seed exchange forum.

I bought a two gallon pot of this at Walmart late this year. It has not bloomed yet so I don't think I'll see seeds this year. They claimed it to be a perennial but I have my doubts about that. I have taken some cuttings. Brenda

Dear Plantnutz, I was on vacation the first wk. in Sept. so I can't afford to take any more time off. Somebody has to pay for my gardening obsess- er hobby, lol!!! I wish I could come and just meet all you great folks. Good Lord willing maybe next time. Let me know how it goes with the plant, OK?
