Old fashioned Lilac Seeds?

One of my lilac grew seed pods, now the pods are drying and cracking open.

I collected some of the seed, what do I do with it?
Save it til spring? Plant it now?

I'm sure I've got plenty if you want some Lori. Someone will have to school me on the proper way to send seeds.
