Record heat!!!

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Oh well, Lancaster's quite a way north, so if they're there they'll certainly be all points south
I was born in Chester, which is just a bit south of Lancaster, and I could have sworn they were there, but my main memory of such things is being stung by a bee. That rather concentrates the mind of a four year old LOL

My 92 year old mum is feeling frustrated because she couldn't garden in all that heat (she's used to being out there all day too). She coped very well by adjusting the curtains doors and windows to make the most of any small air movements etc.
It's now getting appreciably cooler and even starting to have that autumnal feel, so she's back out there LOL

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I live in Lancashire Lilypon and there is no need to worry about mosquitoes here though our midges seem to be getting more vicious and their bites more prone to turning nasty. They dont tend to come out though until after 6pm.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Who knows? She knew about the malaria the other one
swears that it was only here that she met her first mosquito. After being away for 40 to 50 years maybe their
memories are a little off. They still got a kick out of
the UK postings!
Two days ago our night temps dropped from the mid twenties
to the mid teens-I'm hoping for an Indian summer that we
can enjoy for a while. This summer was a little too warm
for my liking.
