Love this one so much. and I have seedpods!
Golden Lady
It is a beauty tiG! Congrats on your pods!
That is lovely! I can't wait for mine to grow up. It's only about a foot tall.
Mine is only 2 foot and just Y'd
I can't wait!!!!
I have two plants from two different places. Both are loaded with blooms, so they must like it here!
Oh great Gloria. you will have blooms soon. Post a pic. Are you going to pollinate them?
tiG, I absolutely love that one....if you ever have cuttings, put me on your list. I will give you anything in my garden! Well, almost.
lovely :)
Golden Lady likes your place. Its very pretty.
Connie, I'll bring you one to the swap.
Yes, I will pollinate it, and with it..
Nice....mine is blooming now too. Second flush. I love the smell of this one in the evening too.
mine is also about 2 maybe 2 and a half feet tall but it has Y'd and is full of flower buds
Golden Lady is a nice brug, I like it.
TiG, good picture.
TiG such a lovely brug, and a great picture, but for some reason I expected to see a more golden yellow color. Donna
Golden Lady is also a very good Mother. TiG...Monika recommends pollinating it with a Versicolor to get a little larger flower. So far two out of 4 of my seedlings have been doubles.
TiG thats beautiful! You have seed pods? What did you cross it with?
tiG, hi, did you polinate them or did the bees do it? and is that how you get seed pods? I've been asking about the bees, but one has answered me on that. Mine aren't big enough to bloom yet but I'm trying to get ready. And, that is a great looking flower!!!
I pollinated them george, I have about 4 different crosses made so far. Take pollen from a different one, and apply it to the stigma. here's a picture: http://www.brugmansias.org/pollination.html
I hope to keep the small size, I love it. I am not fond of Creamsickle, it's so large and when the skirt drops, it's not 1/4 as pretty as this one to me.
Donna, the first time it bloomed it was almost totally yellow.
Thanks tiG!
It is an incredibly beautiful plant. I love mine too. Thanks Glory.
Beautiful
Well, I can do better than a one word bump...lol
My GL is absolutely one of my favorites....Very gracious and delicate blooms....
One of my favorites also!
I was so confused. I just noticed this is from a year ago. Warn a girl would you! LOL
LOL, Liz....
John just wanted to refresh his memory on GL. Next time we'll warn ya... :)~
I thought I missed a few days there! How does GL grow for ya Eva? Ive been tempted to get her.
Like a weed, Shelly... :)
I have her in morning sun and I'm waiting on it's next flush..
Email me when you're ready for a cutting, my friend..... :)
This one loves South Texas. It's almost orange!
Sounds wonderful! Thanks a bunch Eva!! I will take you up on it!
Gosh Susie! Please post a pic when you get a chance. Sounds beautiful!
Oh wow! What a difference! There's the gold in the lady. Beautiful!
Your welcome, Shelly... :) email me your address....
Ahhhhh.....My heart's a-flutterin', Susie.... :)
Beautiful pic.....
She loves the heat, she just blooms and blooms. So does Creamsickle. I need to post a pic of her too when she blooms again.
And here I thought GL bloomed gold only in cool weather. Another theory bites the dirt. beautiful pics Susie!
Beautiful! I gotta get me one.
I didn't realize I was reading an old thread until over half way down. GL is a beauty, I would love to have one too. I am growing a few GL X ? seeds from hummer. Linda
Glad she does so well in the Texas heat Susie. Get me one rooted and have it ready when I come see you .. it sounds like it does as well as Creamsickle which does the best of all for me. I forgot to say pleeeease!!!!! She is beautiful and I sure would like to see her bloom for me.
GL works in the sun for me. This year I gave her half day shade and she is much slower to bloom.
Frannie, I have an extra in a 20 gallon pot if ya want to take it back on the plane!
