germinating Chinese jujube?

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

I have several Ziziphus jujuba seeds, and I'm wondering how to germinate them. Has anyone done this?

Web searches have turned up info on grafting and cuttings, but I can't find anything about the best way to raise from seed...

Check out http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/raisintree.html and go to Culture - Propogation about 2/3 down the page. Also in http://jrm.library.arizona.edu/data/1981/345/6spee.pdf it states "seeds need to be stratified for 60 to 90 days at 5°C in moist sand for maximum germination to occur."

I don't think either of these links refer to Chinese jujube... the first one looks like raisin trees and the second is lotebush? Although I suppose since they're in the same genus they might be similar...?
Thanks :)
