My youngest son Simon is 5 years old and has always had an uncanny knack of making me feel silly.
Yesterday I took him onto some rough scrubland looking for snails (his new fascination) and we were confronted with lots of insects and butterflies. I saw " Oh look simon a butterfly!" He then turned to look at me and in a very bored voice said "mum, youve seen butterflies before!!" I then did the only thing I could do and burst out laughing :D

Later on that day when he had found 3 giant snails I suggested that he try racing them. 1 for him and one each for his siblings. Well I really dont think he thought very highly of my intelligence by then as he turned around and said "that wouldnt work mum as they would never run straight!!"

Gosh I wish I was 5 again. Maybe then I would have more sense than I have now!! LOL

I bet your kids have shown you up at some time too. Why dont you share them here?
