hi all

I do believe that Spike is copying daves layout but changing it slightly. check this out

Well, although I am not so fond of Spike I can attest that this has pretty much been his format all along. It looks like it has been moved around a bit but it is basically the way it has always been with the exception of the 'send me an email' option. This actually came about when all the problems with the pornography came about. He at that time changed it to where people's email were not visible.

Looks like he forgot to add a link for Disney though. I know he's very fond of it.

Mark,

You are absolutely right about Spike using Dave and Trish's ideas. Know what the latest addition to GW is? Hortiplex: a plant database. At least Dave and Trish can feel flattered that Spike thinks these ideas alone are attracting people to Dave's. I don't know if he'll ever figure out that it is the way people operate at Dave's compared to to Spike's strict regime at the other site. Spike is such a toad and most people here know it full well.

So what if he does! All credit to Dave!!! I think Spike has been bashed enough. I'm no fan of his either but live and let live :-)

Don't think it is like DG nothing could ever compare! Too much clicking to find what you want!

I am certain that by now a lot of sites have and will continue to take ideas from DG. What they cannot copy is the membership since cloning of people is not allowed! Dave has given us a wonderful neighborhood and I truly appreciate it, but without all you wonderful people who have moved in and become such a wonderful community even DG would be lacking!
Every member adds diversity. Just like a garden needs more than one type of plant and becomes better with each addition. So I thank Dave for the valuable real estate he offers and I am just as thankful for all my new friends and neighbors here!

Why are guest books unsafe?

JewelOrchid's son is correct in that there are lots of rogue guestbooks out there that can give away information about you.

He's also correct to be impressed with DG. :) I have put a lot of effort and energy into making DG completely safe for our members, and I think I've succeeded.

Not one complaint or security problem yet.

Dave

JewelOrchid, haha, saw what you mean!
