I read somewhere that you can soak hard seeds with potassium nitrate (saltpeter).I have ordered crystals, but I don't know how to mix the proper solution.Any help would be appreciated.
TREATING SEEDS WITH POTASSIUM NITRATE
Cherokeelady...I remember we touched on something similar to this in another forum once. If you repost this question in Tomatoes Forum, I believe "Carolyn" will respond w/an answer (don't believe she visits this forum much).
Go to "Search Dave's Garden" and put in "potassium nitrate" that will get you to the other threads. http://davesgarden.com/search/index.php?search_text=potassium+nitrate
Yep, there ya go! (The second one in the hyperlink is the one I was trying to remember.)
Thanks George (you ol' smarty britches!) :>)
