Brugmansias for postage

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Flow, no I haven't mailed any more. I've been very busy with the business and other things that needed done. I will mail more this week. How long are you going to be gone?

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Belated anniversary wishes to you and your DH! The first 25 yrs. were great and I hope the next 25 yrs. will be fantastic too!!

Just wanted to let you know that your wonderful Brugs arrived in the mail on Friday. I have them all potted up and they are now getting acclimated to my garden.

Thanks again for your generousity! Please know that each of the Brugs will have a very special place in my garden with your name on them. Each time they bloom, I will remember your kindness and these incredible plants that you have given to me & all the other gardeners who love Brugs at DG! Your gift will be enjoyed and treasured by all of us!!!

Good luck with your BIGGGG move! Please stay in touch when you can and let us all know when you reach your new home safely! I hope moving day will be as "stress-free" as possible.

Hugs,

Shirley

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

calalily,
Are you going to post an updated list of any brugs that you might still have available for postage? I just joined Dave's 2 days ago and missed out on them the first go round.

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Cala:

I also missed your initial post. I'm also interested in knowing what you might still have available.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'll leave for NM on Saturday, the 28th and will be back on the 9th of July. But then I'm leaving on the 11th of July and won't be back until Aug 11th, going to TN then. If you can, just mail them to my mom as I'm going to be taking them to her house anyway, if you don't mind. I'll send you her address :)
This way they'll be planted by the time I'll get to her house :)

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I just e-mailed you with my mom's addy

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Cala, did you receive the money for my three? Do you have three colored ones? I'm not particular as to the variety (I'm new to Brugs) but would very much like to have some. Thanks.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I called my mom and told her to expect 18 brugs in the mail from you............she thought I was nuts......lol.........but excited and speechless nonetheless :)
She's probably jumping up and down with joy.......lol

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

was wondering did my money make it to you too. sometimes mail can be so slow. Imzadi

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Dang Susan!! 18???? What the heck you gonna do with over $200 worth of Brugs??? I plan on sending some of mine south and overwintering the rest.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Badseed, does it matter how much they are worth for me to have them? Mom is in love with them and there are many others who have more than 18 of them. She's building a greenhouse and will overwinter many in the house. She has a spare room that she can use just for plants so they'll be just fine :)

Mcallen, TX(Zone 8a)

Heck, if I had a mom or mom-in-law to send some to, I would send 18 or more gladly!

Count your blessings.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I just think a few could go a long way and there are many that have yet to grow a single one. ;) I jokingly posted I wanted one of everyting but wrote to Susie and told her I was kidding. Not all of them will grow in my climate. :)

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm sorry if you feel that way Chele that I am taking too many. Should I tell Calla to cancel because I was told I'm getting too many plants? I'm a bit confused here or should I get the same way and post "Dang Chele, what are you going to do with over $1,000,000 worth in kids" It really did hurt my feelings you know. There are many others who got way more plants than 18 in the tropical plant co-op and I don't see anyone asking them what they're going to do with them all where they live. My mom is a great plant lover and would do anything to take care of them as would I.
I'm really hurt by this and here I was all excited and so was my mom to get them.

Calla, let me know if there's a problem with all of this as I don't want to cause any trouble. I'm really sorry that I asked.

Mcallen, TX(Zone 8a)

Cala I would like one of each:

Versicolor Peach
Ecuador Pink

Money will be sent via pay pal together witht he tropical fees.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Actually, the people in the co-op PAID for the plants, plus the postage. I was just thinking 20 people could get 5 brugs or 5 people could get 20 brugs. Not that the size of my family has anything to do with brugs, but my husband makes more than enough to support the children we have and raise. We will probably have more! I even went out and got a job to support my plant habit. LOL We are all plant lovers and that is why we are here. :) You are more than welcome to E me.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I feel bad now for asking for any. I purchased some from Cala's store earlier this spring, and was going to keep on purchasing more until I had the ones I wanted. That's what I should have done.

Did anyone not get one? I'll share mine.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Please don't anyone not take their brugs or send them back(I've got them all sorted out and y'all will mess my system up big time if you do that). They were offered in a spirit of giving and hopefully everyone will continue in that same spirit as they themselves share with others. Take the brugs, root a cutting, share with someone else.
I am waiting on my boxes from the post office to arrive. I am completely out of boxes and haven't had any luck rounding up boxes from retailers. Someone said the liquor store puts them out on Tuesday morning, so if y'all get brugs in a liquor box, don't think I drank it all!

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL! Way to go Miss Calla!

If you happen to find one teeny-tiny versi-peach or CG left over could ya stick it in my co-op box? I'd gladly send more on Paypal!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Cala, only YOU would take on a such a huge project. I'm sure you probably have it all under control too. Wish I was close by so I could help you.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

May I ask what is the big deal with how many someone gets? If' they're there for the taking and Cala is trying to get rid of them before her big move then what difference does it make if someone gets one or one hundred as long as they are paying what the seller asks for them? I'm new to Daves as of just a few days ago. I didn't get any but don't feel as if I was left out and I certainly don't feel that by flowox getting 18 that she cut me out of anything.
Is'nt there enough hatred in the world already without us fighting over something as stupid as a stick with leaves on it?

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Just go ahead and send them on to my mom Calla like we talked about. I appreciate all of the work you have done with this and all the work you continually do. Again, thank you so much, you have made my mom very happy with this offer. I'm outta here.........won't post to this thread again.

(((((Calla)))))

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I personally would like to have a few of them myself should Calalily have any left over that she needs to get rid of before moving, but if not I certainly am not going to hate someone for beating me to the draw and getting what they wanted and however many they wanted.

Mcallen, TX(Zone 8a)

Cats, dahlin, welcome to DG.

If you go to the very top message, Cala has marked which ones are gone & which not.

Last time I looked (about 2 hrs ago).....there were four different kinds left.

I could be wrong, but go and check.

Glad to have you around. What part of this big wide wonderful world are you in?

Love, Lavanda

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Lavanda, I'm glad you mentioned that! I know there are a few left, assorted of this and that. I need to go mark those others.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Cala post since you are on line.........did you see my post? I wonder if you received the money from me and if you still have the three brugs I wanted. I don't care what variety.....you said they all have a good scent.....but I wanted colored ones. Please let me know. Thanks.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Lotusblossom, yes, I just went and checked, it's there and yes I have your three brugs.
Imizadi, I got yours and yes violabird, I'll put some in your co-op box. I made my self a note.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks Cala. I didn't mean to nag you. I appreciate the plants very much and will remember our visit last summer whenever I look at them (I remember it anyway and think of you often).

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Does Cala not have the most impressive yard and brugs that you have ever seen??? We can all only hope to grow anything nearly as nice as what she has worked so hard to create. That girl rocks!

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

As I read what Cala is doing, I continually remember that she was in a terrible accident and had serious injuries not too very long ago. I am in awe of the woman. Her focus, her drive, her knowledge, her generosity all leave me feeling like I'm sitting still. My prayer for myself is that I will have just a fraction of that energy and ability.

Flowox, it's so good that you are always thinking of Cathy, because I know it makes life brighter for her when you share with her. I think this kind of sharing between Cala and you and Cathy is the very essence of the DG experience.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

;)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

To me she is Wonderwoman!First how on earth can she do this, second how does her yard smell!,can't wait to see pics of the NEW PLACE!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I can't wait to get to the new place, no frost, no carrying the brugs inside in the winter, leave my tropicals outside....warm winters!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I know Hon,that is just dream here, can't wait to see your potential!!!I saw the seeds you had laid out!
I'm a tropical nut stuck in the middle of the US>

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

I know I should know this, but Cala's move escaped my notice until last week when someone mentioned it in a thread. Where are you going, Cala, and are you selling your business? I thought you were still aspiring to a jungle house and building more quonsets. Will you be starting a new business? I guess maybe I should just go to see the threads you have started and maybe I would find these answers.

Anyway, I wish you "all the best". How you do it, I can't imagine. I don't think I was ever so young and healthy and capable.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

When are you gunna pack???

Mcallen, TX(Zone 8a)

Aimee, she is coming to be one of "us". Moving to the Valley, one of my old stomping grounds.

We will have to plan a road trip to visit, and drag Meiyu along, and let Leisa do the dr5ivin!

Love, Lav

Waco, TX(Zone 8b)

Thats great that Cala is going to be one of us. She will really like it here.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

Calalily,
I'd like one of each of the following if still available. If I figured the postage correctly it should be $3.95.
1.Jessie Noel
2.Ollie
3.Orange Sherbert
4.Sunray
Just let me know what you still have and if you have any others for posatge and as soon as I get a response the money will be in the mail.
Thanks
Cat
