Sterile Mulch?

Somebody told us about a sterile mulch. They said that grass and weeds won't grow up through it! Anybody know what it is or if it works?

Haven't heard of this haigr. It seems like you'd have trouble getting your plants to grow too... if it was treated with some sort of herbicide.

It may be treated with a pre-emergant, which keeps seeds from sprouting. If you want the plants in the bed to re-seed, this will probably keep them from doing so as well.
