did you check their trade lists?
Flowox I have the same problem no hint and no trade list. I'm just sending what I think is nice it's the best I can do.

Flo, Same here, I'm not quite sure either, So I'm just going to do the best I can and send things that I really like and hope that the person recieving them likes them as much and hopefully will be some things that the person doesn't already have.
I received my email,,and like the rest of you,,there's no clue as to what my secret trade pal might enjoy. I've chosen those plants that make me smile and hopefully they'll do the same for my pal. I am concerned that the perennials in my zone 5 might not survive in a colder zone...since I've not paid much attention colder zoned plants. Keeping my fingers crossed......
I've checked everywhere and there's no clue anywhere so I guess I'll just send some stuff along and hope that person enjoys the package :)
If you really want to know, you can always get someone else to ask for you without revealing who you are.
Anyone who is crazy enough to join in with the plant trading group most likely will be happy with anything that you choose. As late in the season as it is, the choices are narrowed somewhat. Since I have never done this kind of thing before, I am more worried and hopeful that my person gets a live box!!! I dashed around this a.m. picking out the plants, washing them and packing them so that DH could drop them off at the p.o. on his way to work. USPS estimates 2 days. I had everything in the box - leaving it for him to seal. I caught him doing a little poking around before he started the sealing job. Now that the package is gone I am starting to worry about what they will look like on the other end. Well. . . . whoever you are . . . . you can look for a package of something on Friday.
That's the idea.......something YOU love and cherish to share with your secret garden trade........it's not the plant........it's the love and thought that goes with it that matters.

I'm another one without an up to date trade list. This has worked out well for me in past secret trades, as people have sent me wonderful plants I did not realize I needed!!! I agree, sharing something you love from your garden is best, and as I've told my hosta friends, well, even if I already have one, now I have one from you!!! John

I thought I was going to have the same problem with not knowing what the person likes or wants. But then I done a member search and looked at the name. I clicked on the "Threads that ********* started" and that was VERY helpful. Ya'll might want to try that. Most of the time when someone is looking for something special, they will start a thread asking for it. Never hurts to try it.
I found out my person is a newbie, so mine should be easy to please!!
Hey Eyes, Why not start a "Wish list for Secert Trade" thread? That way maybe everyone will post some little something that will give their trader something to go by.

Sent my package out yesterday....Hope the person likes what they get. Unfortunately I didnt have anything the person had on their want list because my garden is only 2 years old...but Im hoping they will like their "surprises"...

Molly, Im one of those people who worry about things constantly till they're done....I spent so much time trying to think about what to send...and worrying cause my garden doesnt have much in the way of exotics....but I did enclose a little seperate surprise besides the plants...I had SSSOOOO much fun wrapping everything up though...I think I enjoyed putting it together almost as much as I will enjoy recieving mine. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, Its wonderful!!Eyes, I cant thank you enough for puttin' this whole thing together for everyone.
You sound like I do, I worry that my stuff here is so plain jane that no one will want it. But I think its the love that you pack along with it that helps. When ya put your whole heart into it, you can't go wrong!

I received my "secret trade" name too. It will be going out in the mail on Monday, June 7th!
I received my name also,it will go out on Wed. the 11th. I think we will all be happy with anything we receive, its just like Christmas, it's the thought we put into it that counts!
I have family visiting from Texas this weekend, but have all the plants picked out, and other goodies,,and will hopefully mail them Tuesday. Sigh...I'm excited!
