Thought I would share this, got it in a newsletter and never know, maybe one you will win :)
Most women feel confident about their ability to take care of their lawns--traditionally a male-dominated activity--according to a recent survey conducted by Briggs and Stratton Corp., a producer of gas-powered engines for outdoor equipment. Seventy-four percent of women said they take care of their lawns just as well as men do, and 66 percent said they were confident or extremely confident about their lawn care abilities. More than half of women surveyed, however, said they lacked information about using and caring for lawn mowers and other lawn-care equipment. If you feel the same way, send a 200-word essay to Briggs and Stratton by October 15 explaining why you need some help becoming handier outdoors. The grand prize winner will spend a day at her home getting yard advice from Pat Simpson, host of the popular HGTV shows "Before & After" and "Fix It Up!" For complete contest rules, call 877-249-6647 or visit http://www.yardsmarts.com.
