I planted several of these shrubs 5 years ago and they have grown quite well,up to 2 1/2 to 4 feet high. They have bright red new growth in spring and again in late summer/early fall.
Due to a lack of pruning, I guess, they have become leggy and woody and I would like to cut them back so that they will fill out more.
I have no pruning experience, but want to cut them back as far as I can. I would appreciate any advice on this, and also what time of year I can do the pruning?
How/when to prune Japanese Mountain Fire (Andromeda)?
