OH MY GOODNESS.......did I turn an EP into a Frosty???

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Sure looks like it to me.............. I do not like this one at all! Anemic and balloon like.

Ms Kell, seems like lots of brugs morph into frosty.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I can't stop laughing.......

sorry Kell

Kell....What have you done to EP?????

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Please take it easy with R, don't want any changes into Frosty there!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This was my first fancy pink I bought last year from Kartuz and it never bloomed last year. These are my first blooms and I am so disappointed! From the side it looks like a bulbous EP I guess, but an ugly one! The first one is a brand new flower, the second in its prime while the last is fading fast!

so I appear like I can really talk.

It will darken up Kell. Just give it a while longer before you chop-chop! One of my favorites!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think it is kinda cool looking. Bet with much warmer temps it will be like it is supposed to be.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Is it really one of your favorites Tracey? (... she says with absolute shock and disbelief?)

Well, it was very hot here all week Brugie, freezing today though. I think it is converting to a Frosty pink...... just look at that first picture......LOL!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

No, first pic is not pretty, but last three are nice, keep it!

You don't know what cold is......it is 50 here, no sun, but windy. WHERE'S spring??? Our short summer growing season is going fast!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hang in there Kell. It will be okay and if not, let me know. I'll pay shipping + and take it off your hands. :-) Don't you wish the weather would straighten up and fly right? I'm tired of being warm and then cold and today is not a pretty day here. Jacket weather again.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

hey, I like that one!! :)
don't get rid of it or let me know *wink* *wink*.........LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Kell, from now on, when you touch brugs(especially the R one) please wear gloves!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think Cala just hit the nail on the head. Maybe you are dealing with the roses and brugs at the same time and getting some crossing over. LOL!! Your roses are beautiful too.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Kell, please tell a stupid german watcher this thread.
Very much thank´s to you.

Most brugs will change their colour during the year, no matter where they are growing.

What exactly are you wondering? Frosty Pink or Ecuador Pink?

I would say that you have a versicolor and no suavolens (F.P.)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

See Kell, it is an EP. Just wearing different clothes right now.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Shirley, I thought Kell will know it...very much sorry for my reply.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Ludger, I was really saying what I did because of your post saying it was versicolor and not suaveolens. I was being a smarty. Don't be sorry for your replies. This is just the way Kell and I talk to each other. :-)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Yeh......me, Brugie and Kell tell it like it is!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

(((Shirley)))
please don´t become angry with me...
I always am becoming upset( or angry..) seeing people playing with brugnames.

Please have a look to the threads where people have had wondered.
The one site is: Germans may give the needed information, the other site: Germans have to shut their mouth if possible.
Nope!! Either I may tell you my brugworld or nope I am not allowed to do it.

No matter.

I am fine, don´t worry...lol.

Just want to make a statement because all people are forgetting the illnesses of brugs.

We are becoming a " chatroom " and are forgetting the brugs...

Shirley, (((((MEGA)))))
it´s not your address.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL.........I need all the help I can get.....so the more who spell things out to me the better.............LOL!

Brugie is my oldest friend on Dave's............ and I am not talking about her age.....LOL! She and Gloria know I am dense Ludger .......

and PS that second picture makes them look better than they really look in real life.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Kell, because of the second picture you have sent I started to wonder......you must have seen the differents.
You are a brugnut and will see the diffes between suavolens and versicolor.

Sorry if I did not see the dense between you and Gloria.

Real sorry.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

See how dense I am Ludger, I did not even get that you were angry with me because you felt I was playing with brug names and should know the difference between a Frosty and an EP by now and I guess you felt I should not even have started this thread! That is pretty dense...............

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

This is all in fun, nobody gets angry, we all are all still learning MUCH.

I do like the second pics better, sure hope it looks like those.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

For most of us, brugmansias are a hobby and hobbies are supposed to be fun and relaxing.
Kell, I do hope your Ecuador Pink improves with age, but if it doesn't, I have a rooted cutting.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gloria, some of us are learning more than others of us........LOL!

Gee, Cala to the rescue......... thanks Cala, lets wait until you have enough pink brugs to send to me to make the cost of a phyto worth it! LOL. Aren't I presumptuous!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Kell, i do not see u to be dense at all. if not mistaken, i think u either are having a senior moment, if not being a blonde moments again LOL!!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Ma Vie, I am too young to use having a senior moment as my excuse so I guess we will stick with me being truly blonde!

So good to see you here on the brug forum. We miss you when you do not post!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

whatever Kell... hehehehe.

i guess i am feeling much better now, compared to the past few weeks. so glad to get back to normal again :)!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hi MaVie,

Sorry I haven't written lately. Very busy here getting things done. Glad to hear you are feeling much better. Hope to see you around Daves a lot.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell, EP has always been one of my favorites also and I can see why it is a favorite of Tracey's. Of course, mine looks better than yours . . LOL Maybe the second set of blooms will be better. Kell don't ever loose your sense of humor . . laughter is so good for everyone. I come here to learn but I like to have a little fun also and you seem to bring that to us.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Hi Shirley,

no problem, i do understand. we're all in the same boat :). i should not be tinkering outside yet, but i can not resist the temptation LOL.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Please Kell, let's DON'T talk about age. I'm feeling every year of it today. Spent almost all day planting flowers. That is okay though.....I won't have to do it all day tomorrow.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks Frannie, you are such a good friend to me!

And you too Brugie.......... you who will have a fantastic garden this summer from all your hard work. I will tell you, I wish I had a resident masseuse in my house. If I were rich I would have one at my beck and call! And if I were rich enough, you could have one also! LOL

My friend Ma Vie, you could have one also.......LOL..........

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

i agree with Brugie, working in the yard do take toll on one's energy.

Kell, we don't need to be rich to afford a masseuse. am sure there are some good ones around. and they do not need to residing in our home. they do make house calls at reasonable rate. my only problem is... i am so isolated, there is not one in the area. another problem is to find a good one with a 'light' touch, an expert in a sense :).

with all the hard work i did today, i sure could use one right now LOL!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You do not understand Ma Vie, I need one in the morning, in the afternoon and at suppertime! and of course as I drift off to sleep. I need one by my side 24/7! But hey, if you refuse my offer........that is OK!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

u're funny Kell :)! u need a complete body massage only once or twice a week... i mean a real good one! if u had one like u anticipate it to be, u will in all probability will be sleeping all the time LOL!!!!

am merely implying it is possible to have a masseuse NOW!!!

edited for error.

what a joy that would be!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

More blooms on this. They are huge and billowy. Do they look like an EP to you?
All are different colors. And they are now 6 pointed.
