From a trade last year, I got pips for pink lily of the valley; it bloomed this year. I was able to gift a gardening neighbor-Helen-(in her late 70"s and with a major heart problem) a small pot of it with a couple blooming stalks. She had never heard of them and was so happy and surprised. She is undergoing cardiac MRI this week and I was so happy to be able to share what one of you shared with me. Passing on the beauty of the garden and the friendships shared-does not just stay on this site.
Thank you all from myself and Helen.
Passing on the gift of a trade
Marcia, you truly have a heart of gold. You help out so many people with their gardens. (I know I am very greatful for the starts you have sent me :)
I'm so happy that Helen was pleased with your gift, and I'll keep her in my thoughts this week. I hope all turns out to be okay with her.
Luvs ya!
Joan
