I have found a few of my plants leaves doing the same thing, mostly during periods of fast growth. Seems like those leaves usually drop faster than the rest.

Really? do you get them over the entire plant?

I've noticed that when I've taken some out of the greenhouse into our cool, wild, windy, and rainy environment that some of the leaves have done just what yours have done. The plants still appear healthy and the newer growth doesn't come out looking like this.

I have a plant that has developed this condition ONLY on the new growth. I also looked for pests and have found none. I have found no research which references this dilema. Help!

I have another plant that is new and the new leaves are stiff and waffled. I am wondering if it has cyclamen mites. Susie will have to tell me what to use on it because I've forgotten. They aren't visible, but I believe this was one of the symptoms.

I have had leaves do this on a few. I checked for insects and did not see anything, but I did not try using white paper and shaking the leaf to see if anything came off.

Susie is busy tonight goofing off....I will email her this thread to get her advice for us!

Cyclamen mites and also broad mites make the new growth crispy/fragile and distorted. The undersides of the leaves are bronze looking with broad mites. You can't see either of these mites without a microscope or super strong hand lens, but the symptoms are reliable indicators. I finally resorted to Avid to get rid of them in the gh. Neem oil and pyrethrins worked on the ones in the garden where I don't use strong chemicals. Be sure to spray under the leaves and the growth points of all the branches. Some I gave up on and cut the leaves off, cut the tops out of and sprayed. They did recover and bloomed in the fall. Here is a picture.

Kell, I don't know what's wrong with your leaves. I think it's probably just because they are growing fast, but not sure. Sometimes if my plants get damaged by cold or something, the leaves that were forming when the cold spell occured will grow out and be a bit deformed. Is the new growth(the growth just at the tips of the plant) normal?

Kell,
I select many of my seedlings to grow out based on leaf structure. What I can tell you is that this wavy habit is completly normal with some hybrids. I've found that some hybrids will develop this early on while others get develop it after they have matured a bit. Its similar to how some pubescent leaves will show a bit of seration, but loose it after they grow a bit. If one takes the time to notice one can find much variation in the leaves of brugmansia and varying degrees of each trait.

Ok guys.....thanks!! I will stop worrying over this one! LOL
