I finally got my gallery figured out and I'd love for you all to stop by for a stroll through Gardenwife's Plot. I promise the dogs won't jump on you, the pollen won't make you sneeze, and the bees won't sting. :)

You're invited...
Thanks gardenwife..I really like the photo of the Columbine with bee..and your pod is lovely..do you put the branch across it so that the birds have something to perch on and take a drink? I'll "watch this thread" so that I can go back and visit when I have time to see it all.
Cheers,
Carol
Thank you so much for sharing your pictures.
I really enjoyed my visit!!
Thanks for sharing gardenwife. I really enjoy your artistic view of things and your landscaping looks wonderful! Also, your dogs look like they are the best of friends!
YOU are an artist. Wow. Double wow. The photography is amazing. You have an obvious eye for composition.
Kimberly, you are so talented, WOW!
I love your gallery and gardens. Everything looks so nice and green and lush. I also will continue to look through your link.
Donna
Marvelous darling!!! What great composition in the entire layout. I love the pic of the chimmea looks like a great spot for relaxing all over the place.
oh! very pretty pictures and very nice site! I love it!
this is the great shot! http://gardenwife.com/gallery/ourgarden/photos/photo_20.html
Now I am really curious, how did you get that GOOGLE search on your BLog page?
Thanks, everyone. It brings me so much pleasure to know you enjoyed your walk there. Thank you so much!
Starzz - Yes, we put a fallen sycamore branch across the pond for a perch. It was a real Grand Central Station, with both squirrels and birds stopping by for a drink and a look. The branch probably would have lasted through the winter had I not tried pulling one loose from the ice when the pond froze over. I have another branch in the brushpile out back just waiting for its debut, though!
Nmax - - they are the best of friends! We love seeing them pile together and play.
Whiterose - thought you'd like that when I made it!
Mitjo - we dubbed that place Marclay's official spot last year in the prayer forum. I posted it on a thread for her, saying it was waiting for her to come and visit sometime.
Haighr - Google has code you can add to any website. You sign up with them, and they give you a code snippet to include in your page. I need to see why it's not working (could be because I modified their code so it searches gw.com by default, rather than the web...heh).
thanks Kimberly, I've been wanting to actually figure out a way to add a search of my own webpages through FrontPage, but if it is available, I haven't come across it yet.
Haighr - here's the link for the free Google page search service: http://www.google.com/services/free.html
See if these links regarding search functions and Frontpage help: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=adding+a+site+search+to+frontpage
Don't mind me. I only ever lurk anymore (busy with a new job, but that's a long story), but couldn't resist saying WOW to the wonderful photos and design and all that stuff. Nice job, Kimberly.
suky
Hey, Suky! Long time no see. Thanks!
I can't say which gallery I enjoyed more! Some of your shots of your trio were just superb. I can see from where you get your love of gardening! What a great yard your parents have. I also loved your flower closeups! Your area in Ohio is just lovely, so rural compared to where I live. You have space to breathe even if you your breath is frozen a large part of the year.......LOL.
Thanks for such a friendly tour. Where was a picture of you?
You are the greatest Kim, I'll check them out this weekend while it is raining AGAIN!
Checked them out Kim, first site looks just like what I am looking for. Help with interpretation: They say make a page in my top level, do you think it should be below the .index page? That's what I am thinking, then create a link on my home page for the search site engine?
Any thoughts?
Now that I have woken up, I think I got the picture Gw. New htm under index page that will link it to the index page with a search engine. Hope it works as I have gotten so many pics on my pages now that I have trouble finding things. I did make a separate page for the fritillaria and dracs. If you get a chance please take another look at mine and I welcome all your expertise and suggestions. Thinking of trying that free site you used on yours for the photos and thumbnails as FP only offers a few layouts as you know, horizontal, vertical, montage and slideshow.
Thanks
Cool - I really like the Web Album Generator program. I just choose photos, create the album, and upload the entire folder into my gallery subfolder at my site.
About Google -- You might want to add a navigational button to your search page in your shared border there on the left.
Also, right now, the links on your DG member reroute users right to your member page. I think you need to put in the complete links with the http: etc. There was discussion about that a while back and I believe that was the workaround.
Oh WOW Kim! What a wonderful job on the Web site! Nice going!
And if that "cover" is a picture of where you live, can I come live with you? LOL. Gorgeous!
It is where I live, so c'mon up, LSP! It was taken at Dawes Arboretum in their all seasons garden behind the educational facility. You can see more pictures of Dawes by going to my threads (click my name here) and searching the page for Dawes.
This will probably bring up most of them: http://davesgarden.com/search/index.php?forum=&search_text=Dawes&limit=photos&Search=Search
I have a talented wife. Nice job Kimberley. All I can say is it's a good thing we have a digital camera now. Because she takes thousands of pictures to get just what she wants. But as you can see it works.
Thanks, better half! Yes, the digital has MORE than paid for itself, and I've become more daring because I don't have to worry about wasting film!
You are just too brilliant GW - but now I am stuck. I did the following and at the modify part of the subsite I put in my web address but on preview the search takes me to the Victoria Univ google search page rather than searching my web pages?
Any tips?
http://www.vuw.ac.nz/its/it_services/web/hosting/resources/sub-site-search_help.html
GW, that is a great site you have there. your photos are wonderful!!!
Haighr, did you first register with Google and fill out the form with your own website address? You probably need to have that done before the code for Google will do anything.
I'm not sure about the other. Can you e-mail me the code you typed there? It won't show up right here because of the HTML.
gardenwife, what a wonderful photographers eye you have. The composition great. Loved them all and you did such a great job getting them all arranged in your album. Your folks must live next door to you. So many beautiful scenes. The critters were great. i have toads and tree frogs and they have really been talking it up lately, and little tadpoles just showing up on side of pool. Again thanks for sharing all that beauty with us. Donna
Thanks, Donna! :) I've got more to upload soon, including ones from Lupinelover's yard last weekend. She has some MAJORLY pretty spring flowers blooming!
I'll try the sign up first Kim, thanks for the info. Not sure when I'll get to it. I didn't type a code the hyperlink you provided (first choice) had a Create Search Form that you just copy, but didn't work with FP. this is the one I tried from your link:
http://www.vuw.ac.nz/its/it_services/web/hosting/resources/sub-site-search_help.html
Terrific site GW. I just adored your pet portraits. Those dogs do love each other don't they?
They sure do, Broots. When Emma was a pup and we were trying to crate train her, she would get so worked up and frantic, she'd drool and cover the bottom of her cage (and surrounding foot or so) with drool. I think it was Flowox who suggested we put Sarah in the crate with her, and from then on it was smooth sailing. When we added Buddy to the mix, he and Emma became inseparable. It's the funniest thing to hear them playing together; Buddy sounds like a little Tasmanian devil or troll, and Emma makes really funny sounds, too!
I'll tell ya, the more I browse the better it gets and it is fabulous to begin with. With you pictures can you add captions to some cause there are some that you with your wit could really make some great comments on.
Yes, you can add captions. I was just trying to get them all online, LOL! You can rename each file as you go and have the file name shown, plus you can enter captions.
What a gorgeous collection of photos, Kim! You and Howie have done a fabulous job in your yard - I'll bet people just love driving by and staring!
(Technical note: You may want to go back and edit some of the dates in the captions. I noticed a couple of them were taken in the future... ; ] )
Oh! Whoops! It's truly a timeless garden, then, eh?
Amaryllisgal, those dates are correct, GW has just figured out how to look into the future with her digital camera's viewer! Only she could do it! LOL
Ooops, my bad! I didn't realize she got the one with the flux capacitor attachment. LOL!
Yet another reason to compost, right? ;)
Still browsing, just saw the pics of the Gazebo for the first time. That is one of the nicest gazebos I have ever seen. The roof is fantastic and surrounded by even more beauty. Did your folks build it themselves?
