A few seedlings

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Here are a few of my seedlings, still in the gh. Don't look at the snail bites, lol. I've used a whole bag of bait but it's been such a wet spring, I think it rained snails!

Nice plants, Cala. You need "Snail-be-gone". LOL Like "Weed Be gone" for your yard. How many kids you got growing in that photo? A gazillion, looks like to me. :>)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Anna, I have around 1500, not in this photo, but altogether. I planted a hundred more sprouted seeds today, don't know what I'm gonna do with them all but I wanted a few seedlings from each cross I've done. The seeds today were all from double pod parents, hoping for something double and in color!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I hope you have lots of help Cala LOL!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Oh my! That is a lot of brug seedlings. Looks like a ton of work, but I hope you get some good ones out of them.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Cala LOL
Queen of the Seed!

Cala,
I would say you have a seedling or two. LOL

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Cala, they all look good and healthy. I'm sure there has got to be a beauty or two among them.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Lookin' good! Let's hope you get that double pink we are all looking for.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

You're a hardworker Cal...I can't wait to see your doubles bloom! I'd say some of them will be stunners!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I can't imagine planting that many brugs. They really look good. When are you going to start putting them outside? I'm getting close here, but the ground is just a bit too cold yet.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Lordy Girl! You're CRAZY!!!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Susie, your seedlings look great and I am so glad that more from your double pod parents popped up. You have so many special crosses and it is going to be exciting to see what each produce. I definitely feel that you will have some real beauties.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Cala, you have a lot of very healthy looking seedlings. Bet you will have some beauties. Reminds me of when I was more actively hybridizing daylilies, had so many just like you it was hard to find a place to plant them and also hard to find enough time to take care of them. You will do just great and hopefully find some wonderful blooms among your seedlings. Donna

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

That's what ya been doing with yourself!! It's time to come out and play now before the brugs come sprouting out of your ears!!

"eyes"

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

oh my goodness.........you are in Brug heaven there.....LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

It's a shame you don't have very many Brugs! LOL By the way, the 17 seedlings I got from you last year are still alive! Hopefully we will see some pretty blooms.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I have quit peeling and soaking and planting brugs!!! I don't know how I'm going to move all these later this summer, lol. CC has promised to drive for me if I rent a big 18wheeler!(I think that's what it's going to take to move it all, lol) These seedlings will stay in small pots till I move, then they go in the freshly prepared rows that will be waiting for them!
I should have just stored the seeds in the refrigerator till after the move, but I'm not a patient person(now who would have guessed that?)
Badseed, I am not surprised that your seedlings are alive. You're a very good gardener!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Cala - fill me in on the move. Where are you going??

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

We are moving to Texas, way down on the coast, in July. We have been planning this for a while, just haven't said much to anyone.
Frost free zone!!! yippee, I can't wait.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Golly... That's a big move! Geesh... is everyone moving to Texas? What are you gonna do with all your plants? Will you have the GH business?

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Wow Cala, that's a long move. Especially with all those brugs. 18 wheeler would come in handy.......LOL.

By the way, mom still talks about you whenever I see her. She was just talking about you to a friend when I was there over the weekend on how this nice lady named Susie gave her the brugs that she's so proudly displaying. You made quite an impression on her :o)
Thanks for that. I had not seen my mom as happy as she was at the RU for many, many years.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Sue, yes, small gh with tropicals.
Susan, glad to make your mom happy. It's good when one can spead happiness(and brug addiction)

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Just a few huh? To bad your moving I could see all those babies growing in your yard. Well not all of them. lol

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

A few! Those look fantastic. Oh my, your going to be one busy lady real soon. What's this about your moving? I miss EVERYTHING!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Cala, you spoiled girl you! So who is freshly preparing your brug rows for your arrival?

Cala,
Where in S. Texas are y'all going? How far are you going to be from Houston?

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

How much land did you buy in Texas? Do you speak Spanish?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

About 6-7 hours from Houston, depends on traffic, lol. Enough land to grow my brugs. I speak just enough Spanish to ask for the bathroom, water or how much does it cost and can count to 10. Lauren is taking Spanish in school right now, maybe she will help me!

Crossville, TN

Cala....I have started some of the Brug seeds you sent me....thought I'd start out small with about 4....wonder of wonders....they all came up...so I guess now I will do some more! If I thought I had to take care of as many as you have here I think I would perish in fright!! Jo

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Cala, you really are gonna be a busy girl! They all look so healthy.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Susie,I'm thinking I'd have to make 2 trips for them all!

I can just see me going thru a DOT check point or scales.....
yes sir,I know there's a jungle in the trailer..

No sir ,they came from Tennesee...

yes sir,I understand what permits are....

No sir ,I don't understand why I'm under arrest for transporting snails across state lines....

LOLOLOLOLOOLL

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

CC: That sounds about right, the way things go today.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

suzie,
holy smokes-your going to Texas! i keep threating my Dh that we are to going south too! I need more gardening time!
I will have to get my sister over there before you leave.
you enjoy that texas sunshine!
(((((((((cala)))))))))

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

You say a few!!!!! Cala, you have created a monster work load, but they really look great. No doubt you will get a pink double. What a nice Christmas gift that will be. Wishing you the best.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Larry, you know if I get a double pink one I'll share with you!
CC, I was thinking about that truck today and wondered what we'd do when we had to cross the scales or the Texas Inspection Station. I do have permits, have to have all kinds of inspection certificates to ship the plants anyway.

Susie, your babies look amazing. WOW. I'm sure you'll get some nice coloured doubles this year.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Then you have noooo problem...just leave the permits with the plants, and I won't have any problems when I hijack them
LOLOLOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I KNEW there was a reason she was wanting to help!!! I have a feeling sometime in July my plants will disappear from the truck that's carrying them! I will have to tug on the truck driver's fake mustache and be sure there's not a little blonde brug theif under the disguise before I let him leave with my plants!

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Susie, I hope you will be very happy in your new home - I am sure you will be.
