Pebble: You must be using a turkish keyboard!! I think perhaps the DG system doesn't know how to handle the characters on your keyboard. :( I'm sorry that this is keeping you from posting. If you can email me your message, I will post it for you.

Hý all, It must be the turkýsh keyboard. ýt takes me forever to type somethýng anyway.
I am havýng a blast - I am ýn the cýty of my chýldhood, and have started gettýng ýn touch wýth old frýends. It ýs so much fun....
The weather ýs absolutely splendýd, a lýttle Cooler ýn Izmýr than ýn Bodrum, but stýll warm and sunny.
I wýsh you all could see the vegetatýon, of course as I was growýng up, I wasnt very ýnterested ýn the flora here so never payed any attentýon at all, Ý can tell that Ý am goýng to have a wonderful týme putterýng ýn the garden.
Most of you know that Ý really lýke ýce plant (delosperma) (or maybe only a few of you...)well, they have many many kýnds here, one ýs a traýlýng one, wýth matellýc fuschýa colors, and then there ýs one that ýs promýnent ýn bodrum that has flowers the sýze of a baseball...Ý,ll try to take some pýctures of them, they are used as ground cover all over the place..I have many pýctures that Ý can,t waýt to post when I return home.
Hope everyone ýs ok, I thýnk of you all often as I spy some unusual plants.

Oh, Pebble...how far away you are, and yet with your posts it is as though you've never left. Please, if you have time, tell us more about Turkey.

Pebble I'm so happy that everything is going well! and thanks to DG for being here so you won't lose touch with all of us! The kids will learn the language quickly, what a fun adventure! I hope the new pharmacy is a huge success!

Pebble, Since I'm Swedish and my daughter is studying Spanish I have my keybord set to all three languages.
If your computer has windows, all you have to do is go to the control panel, klick on keybord, klick on the language tab and choose english. Also put a check in the box that asks if you want it in the taskbar.
A blue box will be in the taskbar showing what language you are currently using. If you want to change, klick on the blue box and pick the other language.
Now all you have to do is remember where the letters are on a english keybord.

Good to hear updates from you, Pebble. I am looking forward to your pictures and your stories when you get back to the USA.

Pebble I've hardly stopped thinking of you since you left for Turkey and of course missing you but so happy that you are keeping in touch and I'm looking forward to those wonderful photos that I know are coming and only four days now until your return to the US. Would you believe I found a new nursery yesterday and bought an ice plant!! :-)

Found a new nursery and you bought "a plant"????? Such restraint!!!! Very admirable :) I wish I could be so good... Maybe I need to find a few people to shop for again. That seemed to keep me somewhat under control :)

Hey, Pebble! Just popping in to say hello, too. Mom and dad borrowed my car this week, and wouldn't you know the keys got lost at the greenhouse they were visiting yesterday? I got a frantic call from mom. Since they had MY car, I couldn't drive over to Howie's job to get his set of keys or drive the keys to them. My MIL was home, thank goodness, and she took me to Howie's work so I could get his keys and drive his car to the greenhouse.

I accepted payment in the form of a few plants. ;)

Hi everyone, I'm finally home...sweet home....what a long flight. The kids were excited to get fast internet connection - lol - I was looking forward to sleeping in my nice comfortable bed.....

It's great to be back, believe me, you have all been in my thoughts while I was travelling, I tried to get some shots of things that would be unusual to a foreigner in turkey. It is so funny the things that one forgets, things that used to be everyday, commonplace things, like the camels etc., that actually arent really commonplace for this part of the world. I have to sort through all the photos and try to organize them.

It is great to be back home!
