Ludger, what an impressive nursery your friend has. I've enjoyed seeing all the photos and reading the posts. I too would like to live there...

Pebble, I asked a "türkisch" friend about to get to you. He flys and he drove by car to Istambul. He told me how I could do it with lemontrees in my back...lol.

I missspelled Bodrom first time, I asked for going to Istambul,he laughed and asked me you want to go to Bodrom...

He told me to take the fairy from Italy, because of the trees taking over. He is asking his uncle to get the citrus over.

All I want to say: Netherlands are great, but weather is much better in your homeland.

It is a great place, and so isolated!! It took us forever to find it,but it was worth it just to be able to walk around and drool, lol.

Ludger, yes...the ferry from Italy, I forgot about that, they have a service...and if we're lucky, maybe direct to bodrum.....but definately they have a serive to Izmir (2-1/2 hrs away from bodrum) or istanbul (about 8 hrs away - or maybe more) but they might also have service to marmaris, I think that is only 2 hrs away. We will have to look into that.....
I would love a lemon tree. I just found a place here that has Meyer lemon, key lime and a variety of orange for like 15 dollars...I was thinking of getting them and taking them into turkey in mysuitcase, because they are undoubtedly small....(at that price!!)

ludger, check this out (they even have it in german..)

Pebble, the link about Bodrum is great,I have saved it.

I have some larger citrus trees, not possible to do in a suitcase..in the netherland you can buy larger trees for about 19 Dollars and if I should take the fairy from Italy I could purchase more there, citrus and palms are very cheap in Italy.

I will check it out and mail you again
