Thank God you are OK and had enough wits about you to climb that tree, I think I would have been so scared I would have froze, extremely scared of fire.

Thank goodness you are okay. Over the next couple of days check to make sure that you don't have surface burns on your skin, they are subject to infection very easily. As for your boss-what an a$$Hole! He could have lost his most valuable employee and never had the good sense to even ask if you were okay or tell you to take a day or so off. If your skin is red, you have burns of some sort. Next time he wants to do a "controlled burn" be sure to call in sick.

Boy, were you lucky! Smelling like a smoked sausage is one thing, but that one was really close. I am very thankful that you are still able to be here.
