Not intended for April Fool's Day. LOL

I put this up as an incentive for everyone here who hybridizes. LOL
Hard if not impossible to achieve, I know.
But sure is pretty ((o:

In my tired and haste to post that night .. I forgot to say this pix is a double blue.
Even more fun (o: ha

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Everytime I see it when I log onto the brug forum, it makes me smile. You really did a great job on it. The color is fantastic and the shading perfect! Who knows, it may exist somewhere in this big world.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Debbie, you've started it! Now its your turn to create a blue and then a blue double LOL!

Thats the dream of every hybridizer. But we dont have even a true red colored Brugmansias yet! (sangs excluded)

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

We'll get there one day! LOL...an image just popped into my head of all of us Brugies useing zimmer frames and still haveing brug debates...and Kell's waveing her walking stick in anger at me saying "The first double blue brug was bred in the US"..LOL and me grumpily muttering "Well...that's nothing compared to Ireland Double Sangs that come true from seed"!

LOL..guess i'm getting a bit carried away..LOL

G-night everyone,

Bruno

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well, I gotta get me one of each. Maybe someday....we never know.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!I got a call from DW(Monica),today!!!!she called and said,Did you look in the Brug forum?!?!There is a beautiful purple Brug! You gotta get one of them!!!I told her they were expensive, she said I don't care you gotta get one!I let her go a little more before I told her it was a joke!!LOL!
So I guess I have the ok to buy a purple Brug!So I want everyone to get busy and hybridize one for me,from the sound of her voice money is no object!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hey Doc....someone will now have to come up with a fabulous ear to go with that purple brug. Moni won't care if you get them both. She needs to come up here and talk to Jim for a while and maybe I'd be able to go crazy with the checkbook.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Bruno....I would say you got carried away...I am NOT old enough to need a walking stick!!! I said you remind me of my son not my grandson.......LOL

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

LOL...I guess i should stay out of the brug house on warm days...the fumes must be getting to me!

That reminds me, My Arborea is in full bloom right now and I have to say that i've never smelt anything like it! It's really yummy! My Arborea 'Ida' that Tonny kindly sent me, is about to bloom too! I wonder if it smells any different! Most of the others are almost ready to bloom which i'm very much looking forward to!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What are you going to pollinate it with Bruno?

Brugie.....I thought you already had.......LOL

Root, promise you will share when you get your purple brug!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Bruno,
How old are you?

You sound like my son, too.
Maybe Kell and I could 'adopt' you? ...LOL

Send a pix of your Arborea ..Please?
I want to see it (o:

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Alice.....I can't afford the one I have LOL!! He will be 21 next month.......I can't believe time has flown so fast! One more year of college and after that I will too will be able to afford your purple brug!

Though it would be so nice to have Bruno as my son, we could share our enjoyment of plants! My son could care!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sorry Kell, you are right...the checkbook has had a good workout this spring. I'm not sure I'm finished either. Still have lots of soil and compost to buy.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

LOL Alice & Kell...adopt me...Pleeeeease LOL I've no one to talk to about plants!
I'm 23 going on 50 as my 21 year old sister, Emma, would say LOL! Or even better, adopt her to give me a bit of peace & quiet LOL

My arborea is starting to get quite big so i'll be able to use it in alot of crossings this year, Including crossing the Brug barrier useing some special techniques I learned. Culebra x Sanguinea, Arborea x L'amour and Culebra x L'Amour would all be lovely..wouldn't they?...believe me..i'll do it one way or another! I'm not sure what i'll use 'Ida' for yet cause the flower's quite small! The possibilities will be endless as soon as my Anne Kirchner-Abel plants get here! I got an e-mail from her today saying they'll be ready soon!
I'll post a photo of Arborea when I get the chance to take one!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

WOW Bruno........big plans for such a young man! I can't wait to see all your successes, maybe they will let me out of the nursing home to see them. LOL Of course I will be green with envy..........maybe I better adopt you fast!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nursing home? Kell....what are you thinking? You are just a youngster. I have a feeling that adopting Bruno would keep you even younger.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Brugie, Bruno thinks I am an old lady............. LOL............well I guess if I were 23 I would think I was old too! LOL

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

LOL...ofcourse I don't Kell...Age is nothing, It's Minds & Hearts that bring people together!

Bruno is only 23...OMG I have shoes older then that!!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

And brugs Bruno....LOL!!!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

LOL@Glory&Kell

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I have a grandson who is 19. Geez, I didn't realize how old I was getting.

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

Well, I don`t have kids, but I think that if I had it would be about to be Grandfather-time *lol* A bit silver in the hair ain`t so bad either. However, age is only a matter of numbers *lol* I still forget that I am not a mad teenager sometimes and that is wonderful, because it gets the playful child out in both people older than me and also kids and teens *lol*
