The ice and snow flattened several of the leucothe shrubs here and broke many branches. The resulting bush is more like a saucer than a cup. I've cut off the broken branches but I don't know what to do with the flattened bush. Will it get up on it's own or do I have to 'assist' it? Can it take a drastic pruning or should I just trim to form? It was about 18" h and 18"wide. Now its 3" high and 20" round.

i personally have not grown this plant, but here is a url that might help ... http://www.streetside.com/plants/floridata/ref/l/leu_fon.htm
MaVieRose, That was a useful link. Thanks. It seems that after blooming I can cut it back and start a better shaped bush.
