I hope you can get to go to the RU. I wish I could get to one sometime.

Brazil, IN(Zone 5a)

I don't know if I can get there or not. DH is going to have to work and obviously he has concerns about me going by myself. (Health wise I mean) I'll have to wait and see how things are going then. Tracy Ponditis - if you could get this far you could ride with me the rest of the way, if I get to go, Tracy There's an airport in indy and I could pick you up. As far as pain meds go don't believe it - anyone can became addicted to pain meds wether they need them or not. That doctor just started out with such little amounts of stuff that by the time he started increasing them my brain wasn't capable of thinking. He had a smooth line and anytime you asked him about the meds had a reason they were necessary.

Thanks for the offer of a ride but this year it is out for me to travel at all. I need to get some medical bills caught up and have another possible surgery coming up too. :

Hope all goes well then maybe you can make the next one. I'm still working on DH to see if I can go. Tracy

check the list of DG members in Indiana and see if any of them would like to ride along with you there. Or someone along the road to the RU may be interested.
Good Luck. Lani

Lani - thanks I'll try that if DH can't go but I think I've about got him talked into it. Mom's even going to watch the kids so we can have a weekend w/out them. We've never done that before I'm reaaally looking forward to it I hope my body cooperates so I can enjoy it! LOL June 12 I'll be thinking of you and praying for some good news from the doc. Tracy

Oh I hope you get to go. You would have a blast with these folks and I know that there are ways to make your body cooperate so you can enjoy a day. Thanks for the prayers for my Doctor appointment. I hope he can diagnose and treat what ails me.

Pain, oh pain! I'm relatively new to DavesGarden but it sure has been a lifesaver for me. I find such solace here, not to mention humour, great new ideas and a wonderful sense of belonging. When you are in such severe pain even with your meds you or at least I get to feeling like I'm all alone, or the pain must be imaginary. Reading these posts really help and sure give encouragement. Of course it's 4:23 a.m. and I'm up because of pain but at least with the computer I can do things to get my mind off of it. Planted my garden on my stomach this year - but at least it is in. Not so sure how I'm going to weed though so was interested in all of your innovative solutions. You are all so right getting out into that garden really helps motivate you to keep moving. I'll be interested in hearing how many different ways you'all can up with for weeding.
Aimee, I too had terrible stomach problems with all my meds but Dr. John (he's just a puppy) gave me Prevacid to try. Works WONDERFULLY !At least now I just have pain to cope with.
I feel everyday is a gift and Life is Wonderful - and we "enabled" gardeners will get out there and still have gardens that are a sight to behold.
So glad I found this. D.
