Seeds sprout inside deck

You will never believe it, but I had my wild sweet peas sprout in between the broads of the deck. I saw something green and I looked and it was the same leaves as the wild peas, and I could see the seeds as well. I planted them. I have no idea how they got into the deck broads. Maybe some of the them got dropped there and rolled in?
