I came across this link and it is comments from gardeners that get their mail order from seeds, plants, bulbs, ect., catalogs be it good or bad.
Very helpful when you have not ever ordered from that company. You may also add your comments.

Check Out Who You Order From
That's an excellent site, you're right. It's funny, though...experiences can differ soooo much. I used to work at J&P, and the gardeners there had opinions of other companies as varied as the plants they all sold.
I think many of the cheaper companies (Michigan Bulb, Spring Hill, etc.) are okay if you just realize what you're getting before you order...small plants and bulbs that will take longer to mature. Some of what I've received from MB was awful, and they sent me replacements immediately. Some of the lives plants were gorgeous, though! And they've been good about refunding when stuff died.
For that matter, I got some great stuff while at JP, but also some sad stuff. But again, the company took care of it when I contacted them within the guarantee period.
A lot of how you're treated depends on how you treat the customer service reps. I learned that from being on the receiving end of many, many calls. Be nice, but firm. That works better than whining, yelling, or acting superior. Believe me!! LOL
