confectioner's sugar???

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

I heard that confectioner's sugar works as well as or better than commercial rooting hormone powder, has anyone tried it?

Never tried it, but have heard of it, either alone or in combination with rooting hormone. Another method would be using willow water. Wonder how the sugar works?

hmmm...never heard of that, but can see why it might.
I've tried cinnamon, and it seems to work, for sure.

Really, 'shoe? I have heard of cinnamon sprinkled on top of the soil when starting seeds to prevent damping-off. I like plants that root in water, like coleus and brugs... no luck at all with roses. John
