triple purple datura seeds

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

I wonder if I was supposed to be a boy too? Lots of people think I'm a him cuz of my DG name, but I'm a her, too :)

Kim, patience is a MUST with these seeds! Rootdoctor had some great advice. Here's a link where we were discussing this and getting these little guys/gals to germinate:

I finally put mine in moist paper towel until I saw it sprouted. Then, I moved into the soil. I did this because I think my germination rate was low. But, some have still sprouted much later than others so each seed seems to tell you when it will sprout & not vice versa.

Of course, they really like the warmth & time to sprout successfully!

I put some in wet paper towels last night, and stuck them in the oven with just the light on, it stays about 80 degrees in there, hope they germinate, they looked pretty moldy, but stranger things have germinated in my house! (don't ask!) LOL

Great idea, Carena! Wonder why I hadn't thought of that spot? Thanks for the idea :)

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

Onca, sorry - but I didn't have enough seeds to divide. If my plants set seed - - I'll save you some. If you want to buy some, I got mine from Parkseed. Nat

Hey Morph, I kinda lost track of this thread and here all this time you are talking to me :o)
I'm sorry, didn't mean to ignore you. A start would be wonderful if you still have it. I do hope you can make it tomorrow. I'm excited about going but I'm also a bit weary (long story, you'll have to ask me sometime if you want to know)about the whole thing though due to the experience I had when I had a getogether at my house

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Flow and Onca,I'm not sure if I am following this thread right myself,LOL,I just promised the last of my trips out,I have enough to make 2 more shipments, they will be small, maybe a dozen seeds each,Onca let me know here if you found some, you too Flow, bet you are upside down with all you have going!what to be the first to congrat you on Citizenship when I hear it!

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Flowox, I'm so sorry :( I'm out of the triple purple though they seemed they would last forever when I offered. I hope mine will do as well this year and then I'll have more seeds next season to offer.

I do have single, light blue datura seeds left if those are of interest to you. I know they don't really compare in beauty. But, lmk if you would like them and I'll send if you are interested.

DH was really at his worst today with being sick so I'm not able to be in Columbus today :( Bet you guys are having a LOT of fun, though!

And, ditto to Rootdoctor's congrat's on your upcoming Citizenship! That is a honorable effort that I think you will be happy to achieve and get behind you! My SIL needs to do this still, but in her youth, she's put it on the back burner. She is in Hawaii right now but at some point will return to the continental states again. I'd like to learn more in the future about the Citizenship so I could let her know.
Anyway, hope y'all had a great time today. The weather was perfect!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

We missed you, that's for sure. I will wait for next season on the doubles :o)
