This is from a newbie --- the pack of seeds says plant indoors 8 weeks prior to last frost, how big will these get?? Won't I get a better size plant by going maybe a month earlier? Will the plants sowed at eight weeks fill up the jiffy pot and be root bound?? Questions - Questions - Questions!!!

Hi, A month earlier may give you a plant too large for your growing space. The packet instructions have been thought out pretty well. You didn't say what the plant is. We may be of more help if you do.

I find that a lot of plants will get leggy if started too early. The artificial lights will only sustain them for so long. A healthy, sturdier, small plant will usually catch up and out grow a leggy, weak plant.
