What can I say....NEXT YEAR don't shovel manure...BUY PLANTS!!! LOL Its every year in early Jan. First time I have seen Brugs for sale..was a small grower from Oklahoma somewhere. :-)
Was at the Crown Center at the Hilton downtown.
Was it the last day?
Some nice looking plants you picked up!
No Doubt,10 mins from my house.LOL
Kyle,
you are a happy one.
Wish you much luck with your new brugs.
GL
Kyle,
I'm in Oklahoma, do you remember who the seller was? You see very few brugs around here.
wh wh wh wahhhhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhhhhhh all they sell in arkansas is soy beans n cotton...... :S
rootdoctor it was the last day, and Ronna, I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the grower.they sell bedding plants and other outdoor summer plants.
Thanks Kyle,I'm marking my calender! What else did you get?
rootdoctor....sore feet! LOL Thats it this year..last year I came home with lots of goodies. Its a Trade show for commercial people in the plant industry, outsiders are welcome but the admission is about $20-$30.For one day.We are members so we get in cheap $10 each. :-)
Looks like you found a great deal. Nice looking plants.
Ive got a few MG friends probably there,I just didn't watch for it,there are a few good shows here in town.
Wondering how close it is to "Snowbank"? That blooms peachy orange, variegated leaves and grows large.
Hibiscus...at first I thought they were snowbanks..but I have one of those and this has less white around the edges. The leaf texture on these is really coarse...top and bottom of leaves.I'll post a pic..unlike p&C.

I have a pic of Abutilons', she was sending me one(v. Sunset).
I've read that Sunset is the same as Maya. Does it look the same to you? My sister gave me some cuttings from her Sunset a couple of months ago, I potted up 4 of the 5 today. The last one has a few roots, but not many, so I left it in the water for a little while longer.
The leaves sure don't look the same?
The pic she showed me at the show was the same colored flowers..but foliage looks different.......will know later on as they grow.Look like something other than what I already have. I have Maya,P&C,and sunset from Alice...but these are different so far. ((SHRUGS his shoulders)) LOL
Julie's was tagged Sunset, and I just looked at the leaves on my cuttings. They are the pebbled texture, too. It seems to have a little more white than most of the Maya plants that I've seen pics of, but not as much as Snowbank. If my DH brings home the digital camera, I'll post a pic of my leaves.
Well I'll tag them as Sunset for now..till we see otherwise. :-)
Sorry,
I think the variegated parts do look a little different.
GL
they are all beautiful.....
Good deal Kyle,I never find brugs for sale locally
Yes, Kyle, you got a "buy" It is certainly something worth having!
Could this possibly the new one 'Snowbank'. Kinda looks like the leaves on mine, and I got mine from Alice. I have Maya also and they are definately not the same. Just a thought.
Dee...thats what I thought at first sight..but I have snowbank and it really has a lot more white on it. :-)
What a great find. Way to go!!!!
Mine looks just like yours, Kyle. The color of the green is a light spring green. In the pics, Maya looks like the green is more a grayish green.
I have never even heard of Sunset, she says with surprise!
Nice find Kyle. They sure look healthy.
Is anyone else having problems with Snowbank? Bought 2 at high price and both have not grown and lost leaves-just setting there. Someone suggested that the company may have used a growth regulator on it. I am giving it a month and then writing the company.
