Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Wondering how close it is to "Snowbank"? That blooms peachy orange, variegated leaves and grows large.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Hibiscus...at first I thought they were snowbanks..but I have one of those and this has less white around the edges. The leaf texture on these is really coarse...top and bottom of leaves.I'll post a pic..unlike p&C.

I've read that Sunset is the same as Maya. Does it look the same to you? My sister gave me some cuttings from her Sunset a couple of months ago, I potted up 4 of the 5 today. The last one has a few roots, but not many, so I left it in the water for a little while longer.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

The leaves sure don't look the same?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

The pic she showed me at the show was the same colored flowers..but foliage looks different.......will know later on as they grow.Look like something other than what I already have. I have Maya,P&C,and sunset from Alice...but these are different so far. ((SHRUGS his shoulders)) LOL

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Julie's was tagged Sunset, and I just looked at the leaves on my cuttings. They are the pebbled texture, too. It seems to have a little more white than most of the Maya plants that I've seen pics of, but not as much as Snowbank. If my DH brings home the digital camera, I'll post a pic of my leaves.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Well I'll tag them as Sunset for now..till we see otherwise. :-)

they are all beautiful.....

Good deal Kyle,I never find brugs for sale locally

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Yes, Kyle, you got a "buy" It is certainly something worth having!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Could this possibly the new one 'Snowbank'. Kinda looks like the leaves on mine, and I got mine from Alice. I have Maya also and they are definately not the same. Just a thought.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Dee...thats what I thought at first sight..but I have snowbank and it really has a lot more white on it. :-)

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

What a great find. Way to go!!!!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Mine looks just like yours, Kyle. The color of the green is a light spring green. In the pics, Maya looks like the green is more a grayish green.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I have never even heard of Sunset, she says with surprise!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice find Kyle. They sure look healthy.

I have one called Sunset, it hasn't flowered yet. The leaves look different than P&C, but not as crinkly as those. Those leaves look like Klerx Variegata. Guess you'll find out when it flowers.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Is anyone else having problems with Snowbank? Bought 2 at high price and both have not grown and lost leaves-just setting there. Someone suggested that the company may have used a growth regulator on it. I am giving it a month and then writing the company.
