I know I shouldn't have put seedpods in sandwhich baggies, but I did it, and they got mushy (the pods not the seeds) I just moved them all to paper bags are the seeds still viable or???

I think I made a boo boo help
If the seeds weren't moldy, I'd think they would be alright. What kinds were they?
The seeds themself weren't moldy, just the pods. They were asclepias (milkweed) seedpods.

I would put them in a cool dark place for drying them out completely right now. If the temp starts to rise Milkweed will start to sprout. If the Pod was Moldy there is still probably dampness inside the pod with the seed. I would really dump them out onto a Paper Plate and let the whole seed pod dry and ventilate. Someplace cool. Like an enclosed garage or someplace not warm or damp.
I put them in a closet in paper sack will that work as well?
