I'm not sure this is the right place to post. I brought home a 2 lb lemon from farther down south in FL. I haven't cut it yet. My sister said it was a Ponderosa (sp)
Also will a cumquats grown from seed bear fruit one day? How long will it take if it will?
Sugar
Large lemon
It is possible that seed-grown trees will bear fruit, but the fruit won't be exactly like the fruit you took the seeds from.
The ponderosa lemon (Citrus limon 'Ponderosa') is a cultivar and is propagated by cuttings or grafting.
If you are interested in growing citrus, I have attached a link to the Logee's Greenhouses web site. Logee's sells many varieties of citrus that can be grown in the home including the ponderosa lemon.

Good luck,
