Cala........... you are driving me wild with your talk!!
Miss Lizzie.........what pink term?? LOL remember I have no memory anymore.
I can't beleive it is so cold already in Iowa. Wow....that was so fast!
Will someone please tell me the brugs that are more cold
I could deal with wetter. We have a deficit going, would help end the 4 year drought. Ya'll just keep your white stuff up there.
Susie, will a sweatshirt be heavy enough or do you think I might need a coat seeing how my blood is so thin??
Dee, a coat for Friday, I think it's supposed to warm up. Go here for the forcast. http://www.weather.com/weather/local/37849

Miss Arlene....... I just told my DH you knew Tom Petty in HS. He wanted to know if you could get us great seats next concert (preferably where I do not freeze my fat tush)....... LOL ....I told him that was doubtful as you thought he was one ugly kid so I was sure Petty had no fond memories of you...or at least enough to give your friends great tickets..... LOL
ms kell, lol, you are right as usual! i do have two rolling stone tickets, to a concert in jax in 1977 i think...can't believe i didn't go!
........maybe the tickets are worth something.......LOL! We are going to a stone concert later this month............... 25 years later............. we are still trying to regain our youth
Kell, We have gotten down to the mid 30's that last couple of nights. I didn't see frost this morning, but it sure felt cold enough for it. On Thursday morning I woke up to see frost on all the roof tops. Boy was I rushing around yesterday trying to at least get my
favorite brugs that are in pots inside and taking cuttings off the rest. It seems like every year our frost comes earlier. Last year in was in November.
Are you California types as dry as we are? This should be our rainy season so it's normally a lot warmer. We have hardly had any rain since last May - not a good thing - our reservoirs should be full at this time of year - we go on water restrictions this week - in November. It's been sunny and dry and cold. I can't wait for the rains to come.
Patricia,
Frost may defoliate your brugs, but new growth will come out again. A freeze will kill them. Kyle says they are safe down to about 28 degrees. I had one last year that was frosted three times and ended up with 130 blooms at one time. Seemed to me like with each frost, it put out more shoots at the top. Probably just wishful thinking, but it did well once the warm weather arrived.
Well, I rushed out and took cuttings from everything just in case it frosted again while I am in Europe We did have tempretures below 28 several times last year. And I just didn't want to take any chances.
When are you going Jerodsmom? Hope you have the best time! take pics for us all to see!
I hope you're going to Monika's - I'll email you a list of wants - LOL
Hi Kell, I am leaving next Thursday. I think I have all my baby's about ready. I am sure glad that this storm we are having isn't as bad as they had forcasted. I was out all day yesterday battening everything down.
I sure should have last night. All my potted sangs and my PB which has buds are now laying down flat with their pots.
I hope you just left them laying down. They will be fine once the wind dies down and you can put them back up. Might be lop sided for a while, but they will come out of it.
I guess I spoke too soon. It is really hitting us tonight.
I sure am glad I got everything under cover.
I did brugie............with my back I could not do much else!
