When I get sphagnum moss here, it has no green in it. It has to be wet down in a pail of water as it is bone dry. It is kind of long and stringy, but lots of smaller striny pieces in it too. The green moss looks like it might be growing together some. I thought Kell was talking about the green moss that Cala mentioned too. Guess I've never seen or heard of the Green Moss before now.

The green moss we sell at the nursery(in the spring, we don't have any now) is just dried sheets of moss like grows in the woods.

Gee, I wish I could get sheet moss. I use alot of green moss to fill all my weird baskets I plant in. I have laundry baskets from the 1940s that I fill up and plant all down the sides and one takes about 2 bales. It would be so much easier if it came in sheets. yes, Brugie, my moss does stick together some, it has long pieces.
