Becca Lynns hybridizer and parents please......

S,
Yes I understand. LOL

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Why Glory....some of your leaves have HOLES in them.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

**snickering**

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Holes in the leaves is better than no leaves at all. That is what I have now............nothing!! :-( JT, didn't you have any holes in your leaves this year? Seemed like a horrible year for worms and other brug loving critters.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Yes Brugie.I even have holes in the holes.Just a little deep south irony.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I have some that are just ribs left!!!!! ack, they have taken over here!

JT,
I have some leaves that has more holes then leaves. LOL I can't believe this but it's almost November and I'm still finding those cats on my Brugs.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Gloria, I thought for sure they'd be gone by now but they are still trying to get every little bud there is. I hope they don't start early next year. I'm going on systemics next year!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

you better hurry tiG before they eat my new pinks!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

lol!!! they seem to love the old standbys the most, and is it just me, or do they like yellows better than anything?? seriously!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

In my yard, the P & C is being eaten alive. Not much else. I am going to use that 1 year systemic on it I have decided. I am sick of spraying it. of course the systemic porbably doesnot kill cats. but I never see anything on it........ a mystery muncher

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Kell, what is the name of the "one year"systemic.I could use some of that.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Me too Kell. I used the Rose stuff but that only last a few weeks and you have to add more. What is the one year brand??

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

it is that Bayer tree and shrub one. I have used it on several things now and I am very happy with it. I had scale for years on my oleanders and they are gone completely. then I had a double white brug that was being eaten by cucumber beetle and I used that and no more holes. It is expensive but worth it if I donot have to spray and get it all over me. you just mix it in 1 gallon of water and pour it around its trunk. it was so easy!!!

Bayer Tree and Shrub.....can ya get it at Home Depot or Lowes?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes Glory, it is about $19 for a small bottle. If your tree is big you can use the whole bottle on it but it is just once for a whole year. It does not do mites though!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Wow.With a hundred to treat I will have to stick to the cheap, spray on stuff.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gone2seed, that is only if your tree is very big. I think a brug tree you go by the diameter of the trunk, so you do not need so much. Check it out!!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

OK.This would be the way to go if it is cheap enough to use on at least the special ones like Frosty.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I agree Gone2seed, by all means protect Frosty!! Frosty forever!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Oddly enough,if I were limited to only a few brugs, both Frosty and Dr Seuss would be two of them.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

well there is a reason Frosty is so popular. It is pretty, blooms very well, gets few problems and last of all it is PINK!!!
