Today I did it!!

I put some Dr Seuss pollen on Cypress Gardens and also Isabella!! Wonder what will Happen??? And started some air layering too!!

OMG, there will be no stopping you now!! That's how it all starts!!

Yep - today I put Dr Seuss & Rosea on two Dble White blooms!! If I don't take these in and just air layer and cut them, do you think it's possible to save the pods if they take?? That's probably asking too much.

This is my first year with pods and air layering, so I can't really answer the question. I did air layer some that had pods already formed and they have held on, so I'd bet if you start the air layering right now, they would hold. It will take three weeks at least to get good roots and by that time the seed pods should be forming well.

Keeping my fingers crossed we have 3 more weeks - it's going down in the 40's at night this week.

I did it also. I put citronella on the frosty pink. Well now i'm wondering how long will it take.

Are you getting frost this week? Just talked to a friend in Miss and she said it might frost there this weekend too and she's in Hattiesburg.

supposed to. low 30s tomorrow night, mid 30s and frost warning monday night.

Yep - I have several pods!!! And yes, we do expect a FREEZE tomorrow night, down to 30.
