Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

has redone their site. Rothkirch is back on it and says available winter 2002, long waiting list!!!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I see there's a bunch of new ones on there too. I wrote for a catalog last year but never got one. Does he still send out a catalog? I wish there were more pictures on the site!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

the new ones on the site have been in the catalog. I got it during the winter, not sure what he's doing now.

(Zone 6a)

But are they sending out cuttings that will look like the pictures? That would be my main concern if ordering from someone I don't know:)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Don't they have a bad reputation for not sending the right plant?

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I was wondering the same thing. The new site is cool though, don't want a flash-back!

Cala,
So when are you going to start selling Brugs? I notice they are sellinge Whiskers. I think I'll email them and let them know the parentage of it.....I see Larry sent them the cuttings.

I forgot to add the edit to this posting...CRS again.
I did email NH about Whiskers.

Cala, I won't buy from anyone but you. that way I know I'm getting the right plant.

I second that tiG!!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Me too. Now, when can I get Rothkirch? :-)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Me three!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

really!! but does anyone still have their RK order in with NH???

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Eric???

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

but they have no pictures!!
did you see this notation under Ocre New
"Beautiful, wild form from Columbia with Golden/Yellow pendant blossoms; border points very long! This addition from the German collection available soon."

so there is going to be a German collection in addition to those listed?

gee their prices are expensive. has anyone ordered from them before? are the plants decent?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Kell, CC and i went together and bought double peach and creamsickle there last january. postage is included in the price. the double peach grew slowly for me and was hard for me to root, i didn't keep any of it. as far as i know they label their brugs fine. they were overwhelmed in the spring. i ordered in december and they mailed in about 6 weeks to me, they don't ship to cold zones in winter.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I thought that Eric thought very highly of them.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I was promised a Rothkirch by them..but not holding my breath for a while..........they will be backordered on it for ages it seems. We can hope. :-)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

They are expensive, but cost covers postage, which to Logees' is $10.00, so.......?

I have been well satisfied with their plants, shipping a wee bit slow, but they did say they were overwhelmed, not enough hours in the day! That is the same with all of us!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just placed an order and they said they would email me the costs of postage for it is difficult to compute it, so I do not think cost any longer covers postage!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

WELL! I never!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I agree Hibiscus............... you tell them!!!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

All they need ia a small scale and the postal rate chart on line or from the PO. Even I have that!!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

If you order cuttings - how many do you get?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I could not even find how big the plants are. This is not the easiest site to use and get info.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I noticed the odering page is NOT a secure site. I'd suggest that anyone who orders send it in by snail mail or call the order in.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Their book says 3/$7. for cuttings, they are very nice sized cuttings, all grew, Ecuador Pink and Peaches and Cr.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

were they green or hardwood Hibiscus?

and now you tell me Poppysue!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Lol Kell! There probably won't be any problems from it.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I went there, didn't see Whiskers. Is it NHE that you're talking about?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

yes cala, find it again on google. I clicked on my saved link and got the old catalogue............. then searched for the newest one. it has tons of new ones but no pictures!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Here http://www.nativehabitat.com

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Cala, i went there from tig's link. definitely new. they say they have one with smaller blooms than arborea, i think it was gemini or apollo. no room here, gonna save room for seedlings next year.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Thanks, that is a different one than I found from Google.
I'm working on my site, had too much to do this weekend to get finished. I won't have any fancy ones at first, got to get more than one rooted before I list them, lol.(plus trying to get caught up on the ones promised)

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Cala are you going start selling them on the web?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I just looked at it. Has anyone here ever grown Georgenpalais? I really wanted this one last year. It's supposed to be extremely fragrant.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

WOW! THanks, Liz, I have had it, about 2' tall, no blooms...so far, but what else is new in Lima, O.???

kell, they were hardwood, about size of your thumb, 6" long, each cutting.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

thanks Hibiscus, and my thumb is pretty large.......LOL

I was looking for a pic of Georgenpalais. what does it look like?

Cala,
Here is the ad for Whiskers

http://www.nativehabitat.com/plantid.asp?id=319

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

wow! I could make a fortune on whiskers even undercutting them by 50%!!!! good grief

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

TiG, me too. Well, not a fortune, but I have a half dozen or so rooted.
yes, I was supposed to have the store open this weekend, but I'm running behind(nothing new there, lol)
